Italy Wine Tasting Tours
Wine tasting has emerged as a favorite pastime in Italy for locals and tourists alike. In fact, it has become a cultural norm of sorts, especially in the wine regions like Tuscany, Piedmont, and Veneto. Wine tasting tours in Tuscany are known for its Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, and Sangiovese wines, which offer scenic, rolling vineyards and incredible wines. Piedmont, famed for Barolo and Barbaresco, provides a unique blend of tradition and innovation. The Veneto region, home to Prosecco, presents a sparkling experience to wine enthusiasts. If wine tasting is not your preferred activity, you can join one of many exceptional Italian food tours, where you can explore the country's rich gastronomy. Italy Wine tasting Tour Reviews
Honest insights from past guests on our Wine tasting Italy tours
Our tour of Sicily was fantastic. We had a great group of fellow travelers and an even better guide. Antongiulio, calmly led the entire group and always with a smile. Antongiulio was very knowledgeable, engaging, and willing to answer any of our questions or find an answer . We highly recommend him. Our tour had many highlights , but for us, the tomato farm and the agritourismo were the most memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed this adventure.
Good choice of local companies to partner with - tomato farm, winery, agriturismo - as they clearly demonstrated their connection to the land and their enthusiasm for what they did. Good choice of local guides - knowledgeable, lively. Perfect balance of activities for history, architecture and cuisine. Amazing guide who was solicitous of our age but pushed us to try our utmost - we ended up knowledgeable, entertained, appreciative, and physically exercised! Definitely a trip to be recommended. We do think you have to replace your hotel in Syracuse. While their front desk folks and breakfast were excellent, there were so many problems that soured our last days in Sicily - elevator that kept breaking down, trickle of water in the shower, dripping toilet tank, etc.
Very busy and enjoyable with a very good tour guide who was very knowledgeable. My only complaint was with the Murano glass tour. I found them to be very dishonest and I suggest you use another store for demonstrations. After buying expensive glass frames and promised free shipping I was later sent a bill for close to 200 euros for delivery. All our other purchases from other tour stores were fine.
Antongiulio was a fabulous leader and Explore tours seem to attract such positive, down-to-earth and friendly groups. The pace of the trip was excellent- lots of cool activities and group time but also time to explore on your own. Highly recommend this beautiful and interesting trip to Sicily!
Fantastic trip with a great itinerary and an epic tour leader. Couldn’t have asked for more except maybe another night in Pisa at the beginning and a softer bed in Buonconvento!
You need to be able to walk a couple miles throughout the day - stairs, cobblestones, etc. Coach bus was very comfortable. Included dinners (except final night and optional) are “basic” to appeal to everyone (same for breakfasts). Would recommend this tour, got to see all the major sites on our 1st trip to Italy.
