Italy Wine Tasting Tours
Wine tasting has emerged as a favorite pastime in Italy for locals and tourists alike. In fact, it has become a cultural norm of sorts, especially in the wine regions like Tuscany, Piedmont, and Veneto. Wine tasting tours in Tuscany are known for its Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, and Sangiovese wines, which offer scenic, rolling vineyards and incredible wines. Piedmont, famed for Barolo and Barbaresco, provides a unique blend of tradition and innovation. The Veneto region, home to Prosecco, presents a sparkling experience to wine enthusiasts. If wine tasting is not your preferred activity, you can join one of many exceptional Italian food tours, where you can explore the country's rich gastronomy. Honest insights from past guests on our Wine tasting Italy tours
A very nice tour, the perfect blend of sightseeing in lovely towns, walking in beautiful Tuscan countryside, and local food and drink. Enough walking to feel you've earned the wine tasting, but not too much to make it feel like a slog. Our guide Augusto was excellent too. Logistically perfect too, as the start and end point were really near the airports and railway stations, while the drives between towns were never too long either. If you want to see Pisa, arrive early on the 1st day or the day before. It's also worth staying on in Florence afterwards; I stayed on for another night and did a day trip to Lucca, which isn't on the tour, but highly recommended.
Everything was well planned. We didn’t have to do anything but show up. Having the same tour guide and bus driver for the entire trip was wonderful and they were both exceptional. Collette is very fortunate to have them working for them. So many wonderful memories. I loved all the activities that involved going to out a way places. The wine and cheese farm, the home where we learned to cook several dishes, and the stay at the hotel Villa Leche. I enjoyed the smaller villas like San Gimignano and Siena. Venice was wonderful and I would have loved 3 nights and 2 full days there. Would’ve enjoyed a another full day in Stresa as well. The trip was perfect
Hearing our tour manager speak about the different areas we would travel to each day with such knowledge was so informative and exciting to me. It made me eager to arrive at each destination with new excitement in my eyes.
Covers a lot of ground but many places off the main tourist trail as well as some well known ones. Two night stays in nearly all which is appreciated.
Every detail was covered. We bypassed all lines and entered exhibits. We went up to the front of the Fountain of Trevi passing all those trying to get to the front. Doge Palace was visited after regular hours.
It was a whirlwind of activity…we missed nothing! There was a ton of walking with hills and steps, so this tour is not for the faint of heart. Our tour concierge was just a lovely human and very knowledgeable. I’ll definitely book with Luxury Gold again
