Morocco has four distinct seasons, with spring (March to May) and fall (September to November) being the best touring times. Spring is perfect for trekking in the mountains or strolling through ancient medinas. This is the best time to visit Morocco along with fall. The fall allows you to enjoy Morocco’s diverse landscapes, from its Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts to the Sahara Desert. In the height of summer and the depth of the winter, Morocco, with its varied geological features like mountain ranges and the Sahara Desert, can yield extreme temperature differences, while coastal regions generally experience a subtropical climate.Read on for a detailed guide on the ideal times to tour Morocco!

January promises crowd-free sightseeing tours of inland Moroccan cities like Marrakech and Rabat. In addition to this, the month also offers access to the Sahara Desert. Morocco Tour Reviews

Honest insights from past guests on our Morocco tours

This was an exceptional tour in Morocco that really connected us to the culture and history of this beautiful country. Our tour leader, Nabil, was excellent and made the experience fun and enriching. The pre-tour to Chefchaouen and Tangier was a real highlight, the North of Morocco should not be missed. And of course the desert was amazing, loved the 4WD vehicles, the desert camp, even the camel ride! A true highlight was tea with a Nomad family at their now-permanent home in what seemed to be the middle of the desert. The tour was full of special cultural moments that would have been difficult, if not impossible, to arrange independently.

I would highly recommend this Morocco trip. It is a full-on pace, so be prepared, but absolutely worth it to see as much of this wonderful country as possible in a relatively short time. I was very lucky to travel with a great group and our guide, Nabil, was fantastic! He made sure that the trip was filled with highlights and adventure, as well as a lot of fun! If you are considering this trip then all I can say is…..just go!

My first trip with explore after being introduced to it by a couple of colleagues. A great trip fitting in a lot of Morocco into the 9 days so quite fast paced and a lot of travelling but this is mentioned in the trip notes and expected due to the amount of the country you cover in the 9 days.. Nabil our tour leader was excellent, very knowledgable and made the trip very enjoyable especially the long bus journeys..

A fabulous trip!

This was an amazing trip. We packed a lot in to 2wks. Cities, mosques, kasbahs, medinas, countryside, desert camping (including camels!), mountain villages, hikes, a fishing port. Oh, and some shopping! There were some long travel days, but they didn't feel long... the bus was comfortable (and our driver Hassan was excellent!), with frequent stops for sights / loo breaks. Also, the scenery was interesting. Our guide Mohamed was superb, one of the best we've ever had (and we've been lucky with Exodus to always have excellent guides, so the standard is high). One example... We had an unexpected issue with the bus on about day 3 which wasn't fixable locally, and we all assumed the itinerary for that day might need to change, or at least that we'd be delayed for a while. But thanks to Mohamed's organisational skills, enough taxis turned up within 20mins to take us all on to our next scheduled stop, with Mohamed following once he'd sorted a replacement bus.

Driss made the trip!

Morocco was incredible! It would not have been what it was without Driss. 10/10!! The tour itself was great and the people of Morocco are so friendly and welcoming. Please also check the weather to pack accordingly ;)!

Life is GOOD

This was an unforgettable trip thanks to our amazing guide Idriss. He made the trip so special and introduced us to many local authentic places. He’s also the one who made sure my birthday was one to never forget. Spending it in the Sahara riding camels, sandboarding and stargazing was unreal. He was kind enough to arrange a huge cake and dance around the campfire with us and the locals. A once in a lifetime experience that I’d recommend to everyone. Life is good 🏜️✨
