Poland Tour Reviews

Honest insights from past guests on our Poland tours

Wear comfortable shoes. Cobblestones make walking difficult with progressive glasses. Our tour guide was excellent. The use of What’s App made communication among travelers well informed of times and departures. Foods were delicious and varied.

There is a lot of walking (about 10,000 or more steps a day). The trip goes really fast over a 10 day period and I was happy to have some free time to shop. The experts were really knowledgeable (I would like Kasia to get a book about Hamtramck, MO). Bart took us a long time to get into the castle because of his presentations. The lady that took us through Wroclaw was a fast walker and really didn't have time for questions. Alex was an excellent tour guide and made everyone feel like they were the most important on the tour. The Coach Driver was amazing on how he was able to get us in an out throughout the tour with as large of a vehicle. I put a lot of my videos on Youtube (Brenda from MI)

Well paced. Enough walking for younger travellers but manageable for older seniors and free time was adequate. Krakow, Gdansk, Warsaw, Zakopane, Wroclaw were all wonderful stops during the tour. Salt mine near Krakow was well worth the time spent there. , our guide was great - because he married a Polish woman and has lived in Poland for 15 years ( originally from Australia) his local knowledge of history and customs, told from a personal perspective, was entertaining and made more relatable.

Great hikes with mixture of lovely forested trails and wonderful open vistas. Some challenging climbs and long descents but all worth the effort. Justina our tour leader was great and we learnt a lot about the history of Poland from her. Always cheerful with a marvellous sense of humour and the holiday was made even more enjoyable by the wonderful group of people on it.

The actual trip was consistent with the published itinerary, which was comprehensive and varied. Our Tour Director, Mietek, was brilliant and very caring that everyone had a good time. Our driver and tour guides were also excellent, and accommodation of a high standard. I would recommend this trip,

Was my first ever contiki so I was quite anxious before hand, however this trip was amazing! Everything was organised perfectly and planned out super well allowing us to see so much of the city within the little time we had in each place! It’s definitely on the go, but it’s so worth it in the end! The add on activities are super amazing too!! Would 100% recommend 🩵🩵

Poland Tours - Highlights and Travel Trips

Spread like a blanket between the Baltic Sea to the Carpathian Mountains, Poland welcomes visitors to a land filled with 2,000 lakes nestled in the heart of Central Europe. With temperate climates, and a variety of landscapes, head out to the beach, the ski slope, or tour castles to satisfy your heart’s desire in this often-overlooked vacation destination; and if you’re planning your trip to Poland during the holidays, even better!  Christmas and Easter seasons are an extended celebration in Poland, with decorations, arts and crafts, and music in abundance.

Tour Highlights

  • Visit one of the many Christmas Markets throughout the month of December, the largest of which can be found at Krakow’s Market Square.
  • Go underground for a tour of the Wieliczka Salt Mine; sculptures and chandeliers await your discovery.
  • Take a trip back to the middle ages with a visit to Malbork Castle, the most impressive brick castle in all of Europe.
  • If outdoor adventure is more your style, climb on board a river raft and head down the Dunajec river.
  • Interested in the history of music? You wouldn’t want to miss Chopin’s Manor House in Zelazowa Wola! Beautiful music, and a beautifully manicured landscape blend to make this a truly wonderful stop on your itinerary.
  • Plan your trip to coincide with the International Festival of Jewish Culture that takes place every summer.
  • If you relish religious relics, then visit the Jasna Gora monastery to see “The Black Madonna”, the holiest and most important of the religious icons in Poland’s possession.
  • Head South and hit the slopes for some great Skiing at Bialka Tatrzanska in the Carpathians.

Travel Tips

  • If you need to plug in, be sure to take the right adapter. Electricity on Poland is230 Volts, 50 Hertz. Two round pins for your plug is standard here, so be prepared.
  • If you need to “go” then you need to know that women’s bathrooms are marked with a circle, and men’s bathrooms with a downward pointing triangle.
  • Be sure to pack season appropriate attire as the weather conditions fluctuate dependent upon the season; layers of course, are always a good idea.

Poland has seasonal weather so please do check up on best time to visit Poland before planning your tour.
