Prague is certainly the jewel in the Czech Republic’s crown, with iconic Charles Bridge and plenty of wonderful food, wine and bicycle tours to enjoy. However, the country has much more to offer. Visit Český Krumlov and walk around its UNESCO-listed castle and gardens, or pop by Brno for some (far underrated) architecture and art that give Prague a run for its money!

Czech Republic Tour Reviews

Honest insights from past guests on our Czech Republic tours

Wonderful to have 3 nights in each city. Perfect mixture of art, culture, history and present day. Local specialists were informed, interesting and fun. This trip fulfilled my expectations and beyond. Check out Prague, Vienna and Budapest videos @themargaretmix

Our whole family enjoyed this trip- 2 daughters age 27 and 30, and me and my husband. It was a perfect trip for the four of us as we could pick and choose what excursions we were interested in, what our young adults wanted to do separate from me and my husband.. The accommodations were excellent. The docents were excellent. They intertwined history, culture and architecture beautifully.. It’s also very clean in Eastern Europe -no Litter anywhere in Prague, Budapest and Vienna! Our tour guides were fantastic as well- knowledgeable, polite, informative, letting us know when we need to be aware at what time. I give this to a 10.

the guests were 85% seniors but the tour requires a lot of walking and climbing up and down stairs and hills. i hope you'll come up with a tour tailored for the likes of me, i mean person with bad knees and other disabilities.

A busy time filled with lots to see and a lot of historical and general information. Our tour host was excellent. The local guides were very good and understandable. The drivers we had were fantastic. Accomodation and food was top notch. Optional tours were vey good. Definitely a tour worth doing.

Great tour to cover multiple countries. Long travelling days meant minimal time to do your own thing. However tour was well run and local tour guides were very informative. We like a little free time so would skip a few of the optional tours next time.

Loved the tours but also the flexibility if you didn’t want to do some tours. Loved the 2 days in between with free time It was a more relaxed experience

Czech Republic Tours - Highlights and Travel Trips

The Czech Republic may be a small country, but it is full of stunning sights. The country is probably best known for its ornate castles, world-renowned spas and wineries, and gorgeous Baroque art and architecture. It is probably equally famous for its many breweries, and the Czechs drink more beer per capita than in any other country. Whether you’re visiting colourful Prague, relaxing in Karlovy Vary or taking in romantic Bohemian Paradise, there is no end of things to do in the beautiful “land of stories”.

Tour Highlights

  • Pretend you are royalty at one of the country’s 2,000 + castles.
  • Admire the incredible libraries of the Klementinum and Strahov Monastery.
  • Drink the mineral waters of Karlovy Vary’s many hot springs as they are said to have healing properties.
  • Cross the famous Charles Bridge into Prague’s Old Town.
  • Take a selfie in front of the vibrant John Lennon wall.
  • Hike the Prachov Rocks.
  • Visit Plzeň, the Czech Republic’s capital of beer (you can even soak in a tub of pilsner!).

Travel Tips

  • Prague is best seen from above. Head to Prague Castle or climb the astronomical tower at the Klementinum for some of the best views of the capital city.
  • Travelling around the Czech Republic is easy and inexpensive. Most towns are connected via train and bus, and you can even travel to Germany or Austria for less than 600 CZK!
  • You can’t miss tasting a Trdelník (a chimney cake), a traditional sweet treat made of dough rolled in sugar and filled with an assortment of tasty fillings.
  • Tipping isn’t mandatory in the Czech Republic, but it is advised to tip about 10% or rounding up your bill for good service. Always give the tip directly to your waiter rather than leaving it on the table.
  • If you enjoy getting outdoors, the Czech Republic is a great destination for hiking with marked trails leading to incredible sights like the Karlstejn Castle.

Czech Republic has seasonal weather so please do check up on the best time to visit Czech Republic before planning your tour. And if you’re still hunting for more things to do and places to explore in Czech Republic, do check out our Czech Republic Travel Guide for more information.
