The Cambodia tour was incredible from start to finish. Finishing on the party island with a few beers and a beach festival was the perfect way to end the trip! Absolutely fabulous trip! 10/10 always. Our TM was THE BEST! I Love Conitkis make travel matter experiences. They always make the trip feel like your there for a reason. It is so amazing helping the country, the people & the wildlife. This trip included some very heavy history and the most beautiful of Temples. And the food, omg! The food! Travelling during off season was so nice as the popular tourist destinations were less crowded but we definitely got stuck in the rain a few times. Take a poncho! 😊 thank you Contiki for my 4th and best trip yet! It over exceeded any expectations I had before the trip. Everyday was fabulous with a beautiful blend of outings, travel, party, karaoke, beers, food & the best of friends ever. 🙏

  • Despite terrible periods in Cambodia’s history, the country today is a safe place to visit. Stick to the tourist areas as much as possible. When travelling to remote areas, stick to the marked paths to avoid any undiscovered landmines.
  • November to March is the most popular time to visit Cambodia when the weather is not-too-hot and not-too-wet. July to August is shoulder season, and a great time to visit for lush scenery and fewer crowds - if you don’t mind wet weather.
  • While Cambodia’s currency is the Riel, it is far more common for tourists to pay in US dollars. In fact, most prices in shops and restaurants will be quoted in US dollars. However, most hotels and restaurants also accept credit cards.
  • Never touch somebody on the head in Cambodia, as this is considered to be the most sacred part of the body.
  • Do as the locals do and smile! Cambodians are known for always having a smile on their face - reciprocate!
