Scotland is on most people’s travel bucket list and for a good reason. Although some Scots might not like to acknowledge it, but there is a chance you will run into a bagpiper or two, especially during the celebrations.Scottish history and culture are definitely a huge draw for the tourists, but there are a number of modern attractions you should not miss out on either—including outdoor music festivals, world-renowned restaurants, and more. Scotland Tour Reviews

Honest insights from past guests on our Scotland tours

The itinerary gave travelers the opportunity to see both coasts of Scotland, a number of isles and a mixture of larger cities and smaller towns. We experienced both historic and modern sites. The optional excursions were enjoyable and the itinerary as a whole helped give the traveler a taste of sites that one may wish to explore in more depth in the future.

I loved the trip as a whole. Our tour director was knowledgeable and passionate about Scotland which made us enthusiastic as well. The local specialists added to the experience and really helped flesh-out the experience. The one thing I would have changed would be less time at Edinburgh Castle and add a walk through Old Town. The Royal Mile is nice but I would have liked more of the side streets and closes.

The planning of the trip was organized. Our guide and bus driver made every loading and unloading of the luggage seamless and everything was placed right in our rooms. Accomadations were great. The historical knowledge of our guides was very good and informative. And best of all the scenery of Ireland and Scotland was breathtaking.

The itinerary was excellent as far as the areas we visited. And the hotels were terrific. The trip overall was wonderful. I would also highlight the tour director we had was exceptional in her care and organization. My only real disappointment was that I thought some of the optional activities we had to pay for should have been included as I wondered on certain days how we were getting worth the $350+ expense that day. A final note, not sure how it could be made to happen with a group of 40+ on one bus, but it would have been nice to have more options of things to do more than just what felt like history all the time. Like maybe part of the group could hike in some of the beautiful areas we stayed in, or when on the islands, people could either go to the historical sites while others go on a puffin cruise. Something like that would be nice to configure, but not sure how easy it would be to do with only one tour director.

I thoroughly enjoyed this trip! The optional experiences were well worth the added expense - though it was a bit tiring having to have bags out at 7 a.m. after a later evening.

The tour took us to all the interesting and beautiful parts of Scotland. The Orkney Islands, Isle of Skye and Glencoe were highlights. The trip was everything I hoped it would be.
