Great! The excursion to the Old Smiddy Inn pub in Thrumster was exceptional!! We would rather have skipped boating excursion on Loch Lomond and spent more time on Isle of Skye. Would rather have had an excursion in Glasgow rather than free time as city is very gritty which is sad.

The tour leader, Mark, and the coach driver, Stuart, were very accommodating and knowledgeable. The itinerary was detailed and interesting but at times I would have liked some extra free time to explore beyond the additional activities offered. Also, for example, an additional day in Liverpool would have been appreciated to check out the Beatles museum.

It was well planned with 3 nights in each city. Time with the group & time to adventure alone. We saw so many beautiful places. The meals with the group were awesome! Our tour guide was fantastic! She was informative & fun! The coach bus was new & excellent! A dream vacation for me & my husband.

A great week of relatively easy cycling, mix of roads and the Loire à velo cycle track. Visited several Chateaux, my favourites were Chenonceau and Cheverny. The Clos Luce, home of Leonardo da Vinci at Amboise is well worth a visit. We were a fairly international group, who all got along well. The tour leader, Erwin, worked tirelessly to ensure we all had a good time. The bikes were all more or less new this year Highlights included a wine tasting and light lunch at a small picturesque vineyard at Montlouis, more wine tasting at Cheverny from a selection of about 70 wines. The gardens of Chateau Villandry. And the sun shone all week!

I found the itinerary for our Best of Spain and Portugal Tour with Patrick Davis to be exceptional! I appreciated the balance of visiting cities and traditional tourist sites integrated with expieriences in small towns and with family businesses like the olive oil company in Alfartanejo and port producers at the Cava Wine House. I loved having dinner in a family home in Alfartanejo, and I so appreciated the information from local guides like Sergio at the Prado, Lidon in Valencia, and Amada in Barcelona. Patrick Davis was an incredible guide. He explained well the historical significance of the sites, the cities, and the small communities we were visiting, and he did so with stories and slide presentations that made the facts and the cultures we were experiencing come alive. He and our driver, Louis, worked as a team, and they cared for our group so well! Patrick paid attention to details like necessary accommodations and dietary preferences for each of us. He also cultivated a positive and trusting group dynamic. My tour with Insight was deeply enriched by his expertise as a tour guide and leader, and I will travel with Insight again, I'm sure, because of his level of care for the group and the quality of learning I experienced, along with fantastic accommodations and culinary experinces. I could go on, but I think I've made my point that this tour was a magificent experience, and I believe it was enhanced significantly by the quality and character of our tour leader and the local guides that we experienced. The Beat of Italy tour was incredible! Our house Debra was remarkable with her knowledge about everything Italy! There is no other way to travel and learn about this amazing country! Debra is a walking encyclopedia of information and history, as well as, funny and inspiring! I would and am recommending that anyone who wants to visit Italy MUST go on this tour! I’m sure that all of the tour guides are great, but we felt so lucky that we had Debra and Simone, the driver of the coach, as our team leaders. They went above and beyond making sure that we were safe and informed about the amazing cities we visited!
