Itinerary went to most of the places in Italy we wanted to see. Most notably Capri is absolutely beautiful. Other places like Tuscany and Cinque Terra equally enjoyable. Also, generally stayed in each hotel. Still had to move from hotel to hotel but two nights at hotels made that more bearable.

All the information you need is on one app.. no need to print copies. Even copies of the passport, which worked well in Rome as you needed to show it to the ticket office.

I loved experiencing the small towns and all the fabulous dinners (included and optional). They were a great way to enjoy the culture and socialise with fellow travellers. The dinners were definitely a highlight. While seeing churches was interesting, for me there was too much focus on them - we seemed to visit a lot of them. One of our fellow travellers, who is religious, commented that if she had to see another church she would scream! We were a little disappointed that the tour covered very little in Rome - but it is “Country Roads of Italy“ so that was probably deliberate. Luckily we were able to do guided tours of major attractions before the tour began. I spent a long time researching tour itineraries and found Insight Vacations to have a great mix of activities. Going to see how Parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar are produced was a highlight. I also found the weaving organisation so interesting and inspiring. These are things you would never come across if travelling independently. Thank you Insight Vacations for the effort in carefully curating the tour.

The process from finding the tour we wanted to take to getting set up for the tour was an easy process. The other reviews we saw gave us the security of using their website to book our trip. The only item we missed which would have given a 5* was the trip did not include see the Alps up close or a train trip. Well maybe next time there may be one and we would definitely take that trip.
