Honest insights from past guests on our Nepal tours

An incredible Adventure Professionally Arranged

We were lucky to have amazing weather for our entire trip and everything was arranged to perfection. We were advised to upgrade to the chopper from Kathmandu which saved us 2 days due to weather at Lukla. Every day went smoothly with each lodge offering warm and friendly welcome. Our guide Darwa was knowledgeable and looked after us at all times. The Nepalese people were amazing to us at every turn. We will be going back.

an unforgettable himalayan journey

I recently completed an incredible 15-day trek to the Annapurna Circuit, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life! From start to finish, everything was organized perfectly, and the team made sure that every aspect of the journey was seamless. A huge shoutout to my guide, Raja Ram Bhai, whose expertise, kindness, and personal touch elevated the entire trek. Raja’s knowledge of the route, the culture, and the local history made the experience feel so much richer. His constant care for my well-being and his patience with any questions or concerns I had made me feel safe and at ease, even during the most challenging parts of the trek. Whether it was pointing out the best viewpoints, explaining the significance of local traditions, or sharing stories about the mountain people, Raja was a wealth of knowledge and always made the trek enjoyable. One of the highlights of the journey was the detour to Tilicho Lake—a stunning high-altitude lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The hike to Tilicho was demanding, but absolutely worth it. Standing at the edge of the lake, with its surreal turquoise waters reflecting the towering mountains around, felt like stepping into a dream. Raja made sure we took our time to acclimatize properly and appreciate the stunning landscapes that led up to the lake. The views were beyond anything I could have imagined, and it’s an experience I’ll never forget. The trek itself was absolutely stunning, with the Annapurna Circuit offering a variety of landscapes—from lush forests to high-altitude deserts, and breathtaking mountain views at every turn. We crossed Thorong La Pass, which was both physically demanding and incredibly rewarding, and the sense of achievement upon reaching the top was unforgettable.

Unforgettable trip along the Annapurnas!

This trip was unforgettable! Many people choose to do the Annapurna Circuit on their own and they mainly follow the Jeep track, which didn’t appeal to us. We were so happy and grateful that we decided to go with Exodus - we had the best guides! Sukman and his assistant guides Dipendra and Lakpa Sherpa were fantastic. We had knock knock tea in the mornings - loved that part, and followed a mix of alternate trails (that weren't well known) with certain sections along the main Jeep track. On those quieter trails, we rarely encountered other trekkers and definitely no other tour groups. We did pass herds of goats and met local people. We only saw other people along the main jeep track. Two days before reaching Thorong La Pass, we had heavy snow. Thanks to Sukman’s expertise, he made the difficult decision to backtrack immediately. Many trekkers without guides, or those who chose to wait out the storm, ended up stranded at high camp and had to be rescued. We were fortunate to make it safely off the mountain in time, though it meant rerouting the second half of our trip. Even with the detour - we thoroughly this trip thanks to the amazing team. The porters were also incredible companions. Without them, carrying all of our belongings for three weeks would have been tough!!

This was a first class trip with a great range of activities. There were plenty of guided things to get involved with - treks, white water rafting, city tours, wild life safaris. These were well balanced with free time for people to pursue their own interests. The thing which made the trip exceptional was Su the tour leader. His kindness, attention to detail and catering for everyone's needs was outstanding - often dealing with potential difficulties before they arose. Su was also well supported by the two drivers who always went beyond their duties. The team were real ambassadors for Nepal and Explore.

Absolutely Stunning

The most stunning trek you can imagine. The Himalaya's really are great cathedrals of nature. Walk alongside 3 of the top 10 peaks in the world, with an itinerary set up to ensure you succeed at altitude and make it over the amazing Thorong La Pass at 5,416m. Most competitors do the trek in 2 weeks, missing large sections or not acclimatising properly - the 22 day version means you complete (just about) everything.

The leader, Sudarshan (Su) made the trip extra special. He went far above that which was required for his role. His attention to detail, to our every need and always being there in case an issue presented itself was outstanding. In fact I wished quite a few times he would simply relax and allow himself some time to himself to rest!
