Why Choose Guided Tours?

Guided tours optimize a trip by providing local expertise, extra assistance, and invaluable peace of mind.

Expertise

Expertise

A local guide, with deep knowledge of their country, navigates complex locations and reveals authentic restaurants and hidden gems. Whether exploring Venice’s canals, Marrakesh’s kasbahs or trekking in Nepal, they provide insights into local culture, enhancing your connection with each destination.

Assistance

Assistance

Let your guide do the heavy-lifting. Expert guides will handle logistics, ensuring you navigate unfamiliar places with ease. Their hold on local language, often their mother-tongue, proves to be invaluable when communicating with locals. A fully-guided trip allows you the luxury to focus on enjoying your journey.

Peace of mind

Peace of mind

Perhaps the most significant advantage of a guided tour is safety. A guide has the experience to identify and immediately respond to risks. This is true for unfamiliar territory such as a trail in the Himalayas or a dodgy Rio de Janeiro alley. The company of a professional guide means you travel with peace of mind—both for you and your loved ones back home.

Group and private tours

Group and private tours

Our guided tours are available for group as well as private departures. If you’re on a budget or prefer traveling with like-minded travelers, a fully-guided or semi-guided group tour is available. If you are looking for the exclusivity of a private tour but want a professional guide to show you the ropes, that is possible too.

Great tour. Our leader had to change our itinerary due to Christmas. This meant that we went to Hellfire pass the following morning as opposed to a full rest day. This was an improvement as the original itinerary of everything on the one day would have been too much. It also meant that we enjoyed a second trip on the river to get to the dock - much better

Bee was an amazing tour guide. With a large group, she made sure we were well taken care of and truly made this trip wonderful. She went above and beyond to make sure those that wanted additional excursions secured bookings, and those with special dietary restrictions were accommodated. She truly made what would have been an ordinary trip, extraordinary.

The Explore leader was amazing and always went the extra mile in giving us information as well as extra cultural experiences. She is a natural leader who is well respected amongst her colleagues. We were in capable hands.

This trip was EXCELLENT in every way. We saw a lot of Oman in a short space of time. Yes, there were long journeys, but in a terrific, modern 4x4 and there was always plenty to see en route. The drivers were very considerate, regarding toilet stops etc etc. The guide was superb, with a great sense of humour and a real passion for his homeland and he was always willing to go out of his way to help. He was also flexible, when it came to adapting the itinerary to our advantage. The accommodation was of a good standard….most rooms really large, with en-suite. Only the night in the desert was ‘roughing it’ - but we were warned about that! I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to discover this part of the world….or even someone who wanted something different and exciting.

Had a great break over Xmas. Inna our tour leader was excellent. Very organised, lots of interesting stories and very enthusiastic. Particularly loved the little Xmas surprises we received. Will be looking for Dzuigas cheese at home. All 3 cities were lovely, with their differences, no favourite as all fantastic. Amberton Hotel in Vilnius was a very tired and being offered a room with a great view wasn't necessarily great as the church bells rang the quarter hour all night. Konventa Seta in Riga was fab as was Pakruojis Manor. Shame we didn't get to explore the manor in daylight. Park Inn in Tallinn was as expected but very corporate. Overall a great break, would recommend the tour.

Our 15 day trip to Nepal in November met all our expectations. The group of 16 was led by Su, who was not only caring and attentive but knowledgable on every aspect of his country. The trip was full on and involved city walks as well as peaceful treks through the countryside and hilltop pretty villages with spectacular views of the Himalayas. Su ensured we had the opportunity of seeing beautiful sunsets and regularly gave us the option of rising early to enjoy the sunset from the rooftop of our accommodation. Visiting Chitwan National Park was a highlight at the end of our trip where we saw one-horned rhinos, elephants as well as other animals and birds. The bus journeys were comfortable and restful as we passed through villages and saw day to day life of the local people. We made regular stops for bathroom breaks, coffee or just stretch our legs. I would thoroughly recommend this trip for those with a moderate to good level of fitness who would like to enjoy all aspects of Nepal.
