“When I know nothing about the local area, not to mention the wildlife, a guide is invaluable. When I know an area and can speak the language, I am fine on my own. But there were all kinds of things I did not know about Borneo - like having to go through Immigration when we arrived in Sabah and Sarawak, despite being in the same country (Malaysia) the entire time. It's knowing things like this where a guide comes in handy. Our guide (Ronald Lo) was excellent. He spoke perfect, unaccented English, and could identify every mammal, bird, reptile and insect we encountered. As a bonus, he had a high-grade camera, took excellent photos, then posted them - WITH IDs - to a communal site for our reference, which was incredibly helpful.”

“The tour of Iceland was incredible: our guide Bjorn was an excellent driver, knowledgeable, friendly & fun. He completely filled our days which we loved!! The accommodations were clean & comfortable. Our ‘country hotel’ had an awesome view of the horizon so we could see the midnight sunset & sunrise. Our ‘included’ meals varied from simple to elaborate but there was something for everyone and plenty to fill up on. For our ‘non-included’ meals, Bjorn picked great restaurants and made excellent suggestions on items from the menu to try. We have so many amazing memories from soaking in a hot lagoon to glacier hiking to standing behind a magnificent waterfall to seeing puffins from below & above on the cliffs.”
