Italy Chill out Tour Reviews
Honest insights from past guests on our Chill out Italy tours
Valentina absolutely made the trip. Her organization and knowledge of the areas we toured added richness to each stop. We were so impressed with how she made everyone feel that they were her favorites! Her "rotate bus seat" policy really helped the group to integrate well and group irritation was minimal due to her "be on time" policy - all communicated with the perfect blend of charm and honesty.
My favorite experiences were the group activities: tour of Pompeii winery, the vertical farm & pizza making. All days were well planned. The only negative for me was being placed in the middle of tourist shopping areas in each costal town.
First timer using Collette and traveling with a tour group . Very well organized , great accommodations and our tour Manager Cinzia Trappa was thee best ! My favorite hotel was in Ravello , The Graal , the views were magnificent !! Location was great to get us back and forth to the Amalfi for the ferry .
Rome is amazing! So much history. Wish the Vatican would have been included. I tried to purchase tickets on my own, but they were sold out. All the tour guides were fantastic! We stopped in Pompeii on the way to the Amalfi Coast. It was my favorite. It’s unbelievable they are still uncovering it. Our tour guide Francesco was very thoughtful and passionate. The Amalfi Coast is a gem! Beautiful clear water. Breathe taking! We stayed in Ravello. The cutest little town. We went to Sorrento, Positano, Capri and Minori all beautiful. Amazing experience! Big shout out to Cinzia, our local Italian tour manager for being the best person to help us understand this beautiful country!
Balanced itinerary. Love the Amalfi Coast. The free day which allowed a few of us to hire a tax and spend 5-6 hours in Ravello; my new favorite. Two tuscan and Amalfi dinners were worth it. Arrived 1 day early. Baveno was scenic, peaceful, no crowds. Rome is always spectacular. Como is nothing like Bellagio - plain, hardly see any of the lake. Florence was disappointing. I’ve heard how many people fall in love with that city, but strictly based on where this tour took me (hotel location, Accademia, etc), I did not come away with that viewpoint. Even so, I rate this tour a 5. Wonderful overall.
Lots of walking and lots to see. Tour guide was great, very knowledgeable and organized. Bus was comfortable. Hotel rooms were mostly great 3-4 star hotels. Many experiences are included in the price but the optional will add to your costs but mostly well worth it. Didn’t care for the sales pitches at the glass factory, leather store, or jewelry store but you can move on quickly if you are not interested.
