The itinerary was packed full of amazing sites. In Rome we had time to see the Vatican and take in the wonder of it. The 3 days gave us time to go to Pompeii, and walk around the city on our own. Similarly 3 days in Florence, gave us time to see the city plus visit the Tuscany. The 3 days in Venice were amazing. Sitting in st. Marks square drinking in all the architecture. Also a trip to Murano Island and plenty of time to roam and explore all the back streets. The itinerary was just right, we saw all the important sites, and still had extra time.

It is lovely to visit the country area as it is not as busy as the city although there are still tourist it is not a place you need to rush. I do think that you need to spend at least 2 full days to see some of the villages.
