The tour guide - was amazing. He kept the tour very funny and on time. He made some changes to the agenda that were positive for the tour. We had plenty of stops during the tour and the visits were all coordinated.

Great Itinerary and amazing guides! Saw a wealth of historic & UNESCO sites, charming towns, and beautiful countryside. Learned so much about the culture and history of Holland, Belgium & Luxembourg, through our main guide and all of the specific area guides. Great trip!

What an incredible bike and barge experience through The Netherlands and Belgium. The ship was so comfortable, the food great, the staff led by Mac incredible and the guide Hugo so full of energy and fun. Totally recommend this trip if you want a more intimate crowd and countries to cycle through that are flat and extremely bike friendly.

Very good tour through Benelux. Many highlights including Brussels town square, Ghent, Bruges, Bastogne, Luxembourg City, Rotterdam, The Hague and Amsterdam. Some very nice optional excursions including Antwerp, Trier and the windmills. Distances were not too long, so coach time was very manageable. A fine tour that presented the best of each country.

It was very enjoyable - some stops we would have liked a lil more time but there was a lot of things to cover - the Tour Director made the trip that much better with his knowledge, personality, humor and compassion

Great balance of travel and time to choose your own adventure in each city. , our tour guide did an excellent job of listening to the group while still providing direction.

Belgium Tours — Highlights and Travel Tips

Belgium is a hub of European culture and is a must-visit for any Euro-trip. The country is bordered by France, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, making it the perfect destination for country-hopping. Paris can be reached by train in just 90 minutes, while Amsterdam is just under two hours away. Belgium’s capital city, Brussels, is home to the European Parliament and French, Dutch and German are all widely spoken within the country.

A tour in Belgium cannot be completed without waffles, chocolate and beer. The country is also known for its frites (french fries), often sold by street vendors in a paper cone with a side of mayonnaise. Beyond great eats, Belgium is a hotspot for ornate architecture and medieval towns.

Tour Highlights

  • Wander the fairytale streets of Bruges
  • Buy some cuberdons (cone-shaped Belgian sweets) from a stall in Ghent
  • Visit the whole continent without leaving Brussels at Mini-Europe
  • Drink one of Delirium Café’s 3000 beers
  • See the carpet of begonia flowers in front of the Grand Place
  • Explore the painted walls of Brussels’ Comic Strip Route

Travel Tips

  • Flying to Brussels on your upcoming holiday? Double check the name of your arrival airport. While Brussels Airport is near the capital city, Brussels-Charleroi Airport is a 20-minute bus ride and additional one-hour train ride away.
  • You’ll likely hear lots of French spoken within Brussels, but Dutch (Flemish) is most widely spoken outside the capital city. Most Belgians can also converse in English.
  • Fancy a night on the town? There’s no such thing as a mandated ‘last call’ in Belgium, so bars often remain open until the atmosphere dies down.
  • Don’t worry about feeling out of place. Tourists are very welcome in Belgium, and every one out of three inhabitants is a foreigner.
  • Belgian public transportation is great and travelling by train is fast and inexpensive. Brussels is one of the world’s most traffic congested cities, so opt for the metro rather than renting a car or taking the bus.
