The BEST thing about the entire tour was the tour guide and the organization. Thanks to Collette, we were never left wondering what we were doing next!! I felt safe and cared for. My favorite memorable experience was seeing newly cannonized St. Carlo, in Assissi.

I just love everything about the History of Rome. I love Vatican Square, the artifacts, history of the apostles and most of all to Carry the cross all the way inside the Vatican cathedral.

Collette and the tour Manager, Max was outstanding with service, care for every detail for the comfort and experience of the group. My favorite part was the trip to Assisi and the added inclusion of visiting St. Carlo Acutis body. Thank you for all the planning and preparation to make this pilgrimage a 1 in a lifetime experience.

Very knowledgeable tour guide. To a guide was a very good humor and friendly. Transportation in town to town was comfortable. driver very very nice. The visit to each town was not rushed and allowed us to enjoy the very beautiful rolling Hills of Tuscany. The hotels chosen, were clean and comfortable. In closing, the tour guide made the tour perfect!

It was first rate! Our guide Michele was excellent as were the tours and excursions. the accommodation was diverse and gave us (well, me anyway) a good feel about the country. The educational aspect was first rate. I would go back to Sicily and any other Backroads tours in a heartbeat!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Back-Roads Tours – Sicily This tour is delightful! We were initially reluctant to book a guided tour, but the small group size and unique itinerary won us over — and we’re so glad it did. We visited hidden gems that we never would have discovered on our own. Our exceptional tour guide, Luca, was incredibly knowledgeable, organised, and thorough. He made sure everything was perfectly arranged ahead of our arrival at each destination, and his passion for Sicily really shone through. Our amazing driver, Gianni, was outstanding — navigating tiny streets with ease and even managing a day of torrential downpour that temporarily flooded one of our stops. Luca quickly arranged an alternative visit to a wonderful winery, and Gianni got us there safely without any issues. The accommodations throughout the tour were great, and far better than we expected. Finishing with two nights at the Picciolo Golf Resort was a wonderful treat! 😁 The bus was comfortable and spotless, and we never once worried about leaving our bags on board — Gianni was always there, keeping everything safe and looked after. We highly recommend this Back-Roads tour of Sicily. It exceeded all our expectations.
