France Walking Tour

Loved the day hikes - often more challenging than advertised, often very rocky, especially Mont Gerbier de Jonc! It was super to stay in the same place with such wonderful hosts, food, other hikers, and accommodation.

This was a fantastic trip. Amazing scenery, excellent guides, a variety of walks, great food, location and accommodation. The one criticism I have is that the walk is graded Introductory/Moderate when it should be Moderate/Challenging. I am an experienced hiker and it tested me at times, so I would recommend changing the grading. Novice walkers would get a big shock.

Our guide Jaclyn and chauffeur Jerome were truly excellent and the trip, which was extremely full and fast-paced, ran like clockwork. Both were very experienced and knowledgeable and made a profound difference to everyone's experience. It's an extraordinary area of France and the trip is a perfect balance of food, wine, exercise, visual enjoyment and fun.

An amazing experience travelling the Camino route GR65 from Le Puy-en-Velay to Saint Jean Pied-de-Port. Using local guides in places enhanced our knowledge of the areas. A great mix between walking and coach travel to highlight the best sections of this route. Accommodation and meals were superb. Our guide and bus driver were an amazing complement who couldn't do enough to make this holiday memorable.

Great interaction with UTracks before leaving. Everything was well organised, no problems at all. The walk had some demanding parts, there were periods of inclement weather, but that didn't take the joy out of our days. The fields were ablaze with spring flowers and colours of every type. On the way we made some new friends, including some delightful accommodation hosts, who we hope to see again next year, especially our hosts in Conques, Manu and Flo. It was so incredibly awesome that we will be back again next year.

We had a great walk along this beautiful coastline. On many occasions it was slow-going with ups and downs over rocky ground, but the scenery was just gorgeous. We loved the towns where we stayed and the hotels were all great. The food was delicious, particularly in Spain. We were pleased that we arranged extra days in Collioure and Cadaqués so we could soak up the atmosphere of the area.
