France Tours in August 2026

This was my first trip with Explore! and it was absolutely amazing! I was fortunate also with my fellow participants in our group as they were a wonderful group of people. The guide, Denis, was incredible. His knowledge about the area, the geography, and the flora and fauna was all encompassing. The only glitch I’d say was the lack of wifi in the hotel. The rooms themselves and the food was very good.

G adventures was one of the best things I choice to do. I made friends that will last a lifetime, and memories that are unforgettable. The CEO Fhilip was amazing knew so many things about each city and gave great recommendations of things to do. Was so professional but also very fun and friendly. The trip moved very fast and had about a day in each city. Would have liked to have more group activities to do but the one bike tour we did was amazing. All the accommodations were great except the hostel in Amsterdam, was very bad, so far away from everything, rooms very small as well as the bathroom. We shared a bathroom with other people in the floor which is fine except someone kept flooding the toilet and making it unusable.

Great tour leader and driver a good range of destinations and options also great local guides. A little extra time at some places would have been good but I realise that is difficult when covering many different attractions. Overall it was a great introduction to France especially for first timers like myself and I would certainly recommend this tour to others

Carolyn was an excellent and informative guide. She was extremely helpful and efficiently followed up on any queries we had. The places we visited were, what can I say, terrific. I absolutely loved the Channel Islands. French highlights were Dinan and Mont St Michel. I have many great memories. Unfortunately there quite a few unwell people which resulted in me contracting pneumonia in Paris.. People were coughing (with one couching over me). Poor Angela and Carolyn had to ferry people to get medical attention at St Malo. I definitely felt those who were affected should have been aware of infection control and wore masks. Luckily I’m now pretty much restored to better health and have put this distressing situation behind me.

and I want to send our thanks to all ! As some may know thus is our first trip “”across the pond” and we couldn’t have imagined a better experience. So thank you to Trafalgar for their planning. All the stops and experiences along this tour, the Best of France, have truly been the best!! To , thank you! Your stories, knowledge and genuine kindness is what we believe has truly made this trip so special. I truly believe with any future travel experiences and I have, we will never have a guide as wonderful! To , thank you for your skill and driving expertise. We always felt safe and comfortable on the road, even in the small town turns! To our fellow travelers and bus mates… thank you for your kindness, acceptance, and friendliness! We toured the major spots I’ve always heard and read about in Paris, and they did not disappoint! Our tour manager did a great job teaching us how to navigate the metro system so when we had free time I felt confident in my ability to go wherever I wanted. The choice of restaurants were fantastic! The hotel was very nice with an outstanding breakfast bar! The concierge was patient and helpful with all questions I had. Overall, I’m very impressed with the vacation Collette put together for us, as well as their choice of tour manager!
