Thanks for the well-organised Camino - everything went so smoothly from the hotel check-ins to the transportation of our luggage daily. We were travelling with other people who had used other companies to organise their hotels and we always had the best accommodation by far - it was really obvious to us and others - so a massive thank you to all the team for making our dream holiday become a reality. Thank you Catie, Melissa and Annie, it's been a pleasure dealing with you and our next trip we will be coming back without a doubt. Sue Wyatt
Fantastic, well-organised cycling trips with e-bikes which were high quality and a game changer. Varied and beautiful scenery through gorgeous Alsatian villages, wineries, farmland and rivers/canals. Good hotels with helpful staff.
The Amsterdam to Paris cycle was a bucket list trip for us, and we were so pleased with the experience! They did everything just right to make the self-guided adventure successful - wonderful hotels, a well researched route with excellent local recommendations to tailor each day to your own interests and abilities. The luggage service and the central location for each hotel meant you were able to explore each town as soon as you arrived. Highly recommend!
Overall, our experience was very satisfying. The e-bikes were in a good state of repair, the lodging was well situated along our route and our breakfast, although with some variability, was very good. My only recommendation would be that a tool kit with some standard bicycle repair tools and lubricant be available at each of our hotels. This would be very helpful.
We had a fantastic ride. The coastal scenery was stunning. Whilst there was some traffic as it is a popular touring route for motorcyclists, it wasn't a problem. The drivers were generally very courteous towards cyclists. The accommodation was fantastic and in the perfect locations. The feedback we could give would be around pre-trip information regarding the e-bikes we were hiring. Specifically around the capacity of the batteries and comfort seats. As there is a lot of steep terrain to cover, we wanted to be sure the bikes would handle it. Also, the app information came in last minute whilst we were already in transit. It would have been great to have had that before we left home. These would be simple issues to resolve. We didn't ride the optional extra parts of the ride as we found there was a lot of other exploring to do. Corsica was absolutely amazing - we would highly recommend the trip.
Walking the trail from mid-April to May was just perfect. The weather started off cool and ended in a heatwave, though each day was taken in its stride. The trail can be challenging - hills, rocky paths and mud! This makes for a wonderful adventure through the French countryside, forests, farmland, and many amazing villages. The selected accommodation was perfect, varying from hostels, homestays and hotels, in remote areas and central villages. The breakfasts and dinners were exceptional, mostly pilgrim-style meals, tasting the local fare, and occasionally five star! The variety was awesome. Take each day at a time, add a couple of rest days and savour every step - those 40 days will come around quickly.
