Reviews of our France Tours for November
Feedback from guests who toured France during November.
This was our first time doing a tour and it exceeded our expectations in every way possible. Very happy with every leg of our itinerary. The Tour guide, Ralph, was outstanding in every way. Professional, personable, and passionate about the history of each destination and facilitated everyone coming together and forming friendships.
Erwin as our tour leader and the group were great company. The tour was a combination of visiting amazing places together with a foodie experience. Throughout the week, we had pleasure in indulging in delicious food, wines, cheeses and sweet treats of each of the areas. Exploring Saint-Émilion and visiting Chateau Coutet winelands in an eco buggy was a memorable experience. Our cooking class at La Savie with Chef Frédéric was an absolute highlight; we enjoyed making and eating delicious porcini mushroom risotto, the perfectly cooked duck breast with roasted vegetables and the most amazing Crème brûlée with spices. Another highlight was visiting Rocamadour and walking the Chemin de Croix originating in the middle ages; this was truly inspirational and thought provoking. The traditional cassoulet dinner in Toulouse was a perfect way to end a fantastic week! The tour gave us the opportunity to visit unique places we would never have found on our own. Vernon and Sanet Aspinall, South Africa
Great itinerary, excellent tour guide (Albert) and the best driver (Ken). Small towns of great interest, enjoyable excursions and plenty of time to do your own thing. Accommodation acceptable, not luxurious but always well located and close to restaurants. Small group works well although a full bus made things cosy. Fortunately no long journeys.
I recommend this trip. The itinerary was well thought out and planned and included a number of places I wanted to visit. Weronica our guide was excellent, very supportive and knowledgeable. The hotels were also of a very high standard and the picnics, provided by Lluis, our support driver, were amazing!
The Trip Overall was Good. However, I want to suggest a few things for general Improvement. Communication from your Ground Staff has to improve. When we reached Paris, nobody contacted us and we had to firstfind your representattive and chase her for information which was not very good. Similarly, throghout the trip, drinking bottled water was not provided to us either at the hotels or in the bus while travelling. if the same ficility is made available, even at a cost, it will be very helpful as a lot of time and effort is wasted in procuring the same. The hotels provided were decent particularly the ones where transit accomodation 1 night stay which were good. However, at most hotels, there were no room service and in one particular instance in Geneva Switzerland, they did not even clean the room on one day. However, the overall trip was good and we look forward to more such tours. I would also appreciate a tour with all inclusive meals so that more time is available at our disposal for exploring more places.
I had the most beautiful e-bike tour with the best guide, Elena (we were only 2, so it was really nice). The scenery was simply breathtaking. We went uphill a lot but the bikes are super performing so it was really effortless. Elena was a great guide and company, and her English is flawless. Recommend this tour to everyone!
