Portugal Bicycle Tour Reviews
Honest insights from past guests on our Bicycle Portugal tours
Such a great tour, mostly lovely bike paths some streets with more traffic but still great for cycling with great views. Great fellow travellers. Superbe and very friendly guide Lucas, who managed to keep the group together easily and without pushing or stopping anyone and driver Paulo who did a lot of work behind the scenes (was also our picnic chef). Clean accommodation, perfectly located. Bikes in good shape. However the trip ist expensive considering it's not even a week long and only breakfast is included. I would change the itinerary and add a day at a beach town in the middle, after 2 or 3 days cycling it makes sense to have a break from it and enjoy the beautiful beaches and relax a bit.
Pablo and Bill took complete care of us and made our trip special. Both had lots of knowledge about the history and country of Portugal which they shared with us. Bill prepared awesome picnic lunches for us on three of the days. Much appreciated.
Our guide, Pablo, was outstanding! As was our driver and lunch maker extraordinaire, Bill. Pablo was supportive, concise in his explanations of what to expect each day while cycling. He has a fun sense of humor and a positive attitude. In addition to all of that, he is so very interesting. Bill is kind, humorous and a fabulous "cook", making excellent picnics for us. The cycling itself was just right for each day.
This is a really enjoyable cycle from Porto to Lisbon. The towns that you stay in a very pretty in the hotel accommodation is very good. There are a few bigger hills but for the most part it's very flat. I'll totally the Pablo I was absolutely excellent. Overall was very pleased with this trip and happily do it again.
My holiday was very enjoyable, wonderful scenery, great food and company. The guide was excellent as were the hotels. The itinerary was well planned with plenty of time to explore on your own.
David and Bill were outstanding guides. We were well cared for and had excellent support. Bikes were in great shape. Hotels were good not so fancy but adequate.
