Portugal Beach Trips

Really enjoyed the holiday. We had perfect weather for walking and the flowers were in bloom. Beautiful sea views. Our leader Lidia was great. She was friendly, organised and caring. Two people fell on different days and she was very competent and calm. Room in the hotel was spotless and spacious with a balcony. Only possible improvement is if there was a bar / coffee area in the hotel. The hotel provides free tea / coffee but cups / mugs are limited and there is really only one sofa to sit on inside. Great space outside. I would recommend this holiday.

Great refreshing week in Portugal with an excellent guide and extremely good accommodation. Our group of 16 melded together well and the coastal routes amongst a variety of wild flowers set us up well for dinners together at a series of high quality local restaurants which served seafood and local meats perfectly. We found the walking easy with normal caution for rough ground. Plenty to see on our day off in the middle and a close beach was perfect for a swim.

Best of Portugual was fabulous. I feel I got to know the country and many of its special places. The pace was busy but included rest times to make the most of our journey.

It provided a full overview of several of the key areas in Portugal. I had asked for both an urban and country experience and this trip provided it. Depending on one’s walking ability they may find it difficult in some areas due to the unevenness of the stones on the sidewalks, gardens and old, historic places.

My trip was memorable and the Tour guides were very knowledgeable and shared lots of information about the history of Portugal which I had never learned or realized. If you love medieval history, this trip is a must. The hotels were top notch and the breakfasts offered a variety of fresh cheeses, fruits and produce and artesian breads. We were given a few hours down time each day on our stops to eat, shop and rest and enjoy a glass of wine or beer at the cafes. The tour guides, bus drivers and hotel staff were extremely polite and helpful and I made a lot of new acquaintances socializing with my fellow travelers.

Thoroughly enjoyed trip with our excellent travel director Tiago. The only thought I and others had discussed was that a couple more excursions should be included as part of the trip It was discussed a few times and we felt as regular customers there are less offered than other years and should be included in our package!!! Not an extra to be paid for
