Portugal Beach Trips
With over 400 Blue Flag beaches, Portugal is a premier beach destination. Bounded by the Atlantic Ocean in the west and the south, the country has plenty of sandy beaches overlooking the azure waters. The Algarve leaps to mind when we think of a beach holiday in Portugal, and rightly so. From family-friendly bays to whitewashed limestone cliffs to popular resort towns, the Algarve has it all for those looking for an exciting beach holiday. Beyond the Algarve, there are beaches like Praia da Ursa, located close to Cabo da Roca cape, the westernmost point of Europe. Whether you crave the lively energy of popular beaches or the hushed secrets of concealed coves, the beaches in Portugal will not disappoint. Scroll down to find the best beach tours to Portugal.

Honest insights from past guests on our Beach Portugal tours
We went to many places in Portugal and had a good overview of the different aspects of the country. Would have loved to spend more time in certain places eg Porto and Tomar. Overall it was a very good trip. Would have been even better if group size was smaller (there were 44 people in the group) but everyone was co-operative and I really liked the seat rotation on the coach. Local guides were also very informative and time spent on the coach was not excessive, so that was really good. Points for improvement - the optional Cataplana dinner in Algarve was disappointing in terms of quality and the optional dinner after the Duoro River cruise was also not very good. The food for the farewell dinner at the vineyard was also unimpressive. Otherwise, good trip!
great itinerary because it included lots of different places. Going in November was nice as far as crowds were concerned but the early sunset was kind of a bummer because we missed sights or could have spent more time at places. we did all of the extra tours which I think helped us enjoy the country more because we saw more and tried different foods
The itinerary was very inclusive of the country. We felt we got to see all of Portugal and learned of the history and culture of each specific region.
We had an excellent travel director in who did an amazing job of moving our full busload of 51 travelers around. We certainly saw the best of Portugal and the local travel guides were extremely knowledgeable providing a very educational trip as well. We chose to do all the optional activities which meant we were busy but we experienced so much more by doing so .
This trip gave us a wonderful journey through Portugal North and South, including so much history and culture. We enjoyed trying the different foods, our first funicular ride, centuries old various architectures and wineries and tasting their wines. The sunset river cruise was a highlight and Mass at Fatima topped off the trip for me.
Our tour guide & our driver were amazing! For us though, we learned that it's too difficult for us to get up early everyday and be on the move. Even though we got to see so many things and experience a lot, it isn't the kind of traveling for us. We need to go at a slower pace and have more time to relax. It might be nicer to have some days where the excursions start a little later so folks can sleep in and then maybe have more time in between sightseeing to have ample time in the hotel room for the next outing. We felt rushed at times where we couldn't even change clothing for the dinner events in the evening. We still enjoyed the trip immensely but not sure if we can travel at a fast pace like that again.
