Portugal 10-Day Tours and Trips

This is our 6th Back Roads tour. The itinerary was well put together giving a taste of all things Portugal. The accomodation was excellent 4-5 star. Meals provided were of a high standard especially those in the D’Ouro valley. The welcome and farewell dinners included local entertainment. Laura, our tour guide, provided detailed commentary and no “Challenges” were a problem. She even added in a few sites not listed in the itinerary. Finally our driver, Rui, safely drove us around the countryside.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Country Roads of Portugal tour. Our tour director, was wonderful, so accommodating, knowledgeable, engaging and went the extra mile to make sure everyone was well taken care of. Our driver, was incredible. He swiftly problem solved in an unexpected situation and our group always felt safe with his experienced driving skills. The (extra leg room) coach, scenery, extra activities, meals, hotels and local experts were five star in every respect. We would highly recommend this tour, especially for experiencing the less traveled countryside of Portugal. It's a beautiful country!

Flawless. Best of hotels, best of tours. Tour Director, was fantastic. Lots of fun and very informative. So knowledgeable and made lemonade when he was given lemons. I would recommend him for any tour.

The transfers to and from the Lisbon hotel were efficient and on time. As well, the extra leg room in the well-apppointed coach was welcomed! Great food, wine, lodgings, and experiences. Daniel Ferguson was an experienced guide who not only took us to beautiful sites, but also added a couple of extra side trips and treats. He and our driver Felipe worked extremely well together, and the local guides were all knowledgable and passionate about their subjects.

Our guide set the rules, up front, be on time! I thought he was a little stern at first but now understand why. We had a timely, respectful and fun time. Made new friends and had some of the best tour guides along the way. I’m excited to go on my next Trafalgar tour.

Provides a really good taste of some of Portugal’s most beautiful cities, towns and countryside. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, the hotels were excellent, coach very comfortable and tour director excellent.
