Spectacular mountain views and amazing wildlife !

As an Exodus staff member (Customer Operations) who has had Nepal on her bucket list for many years, I found this trip to be a wonderfully well-rounded introduction to Nepal, offering the perfect blend of culture, walking, and wildlife. Hiking through the foothills of the Annapurna range delivers breathtaking mountain scenery without being overly technical, while the time spent in Chitwan National Park adds an entirely different dimension with unforgettable wildlife encounters. Throughout the journey, we experienced genuine Nepalese hospitality and gained a meaningful insight into local life, culture, and traditions.

Unforgettable trip along the Annapurnas!

This trip was unforgettable! Many people choose to do the Annapurna Circuit on their own and they mainly follow the Jeep track, which didn’t appeal to us. We were so happy and grateful that we decided to go with Exodus - we had the best guides! Sukman and his assistant guides Dipendra and Lakpa Sherpa were fantastic. We had knock knock tea in the mornings - loved that part, and followed a mix of alternate trails (that weren't well known) with certain sections along the main Jeep track. On those quieter trails, we rarely encountered other trekkers and definitely no other tour groups. We did pass herds of goats and met local people. We only saw other people along the main jeep track. Two days before reaching Thorong La Pass, we had heavy snow. Thanks to Sukman’s expertise, he made the difficult decision to backtrack immediately. Many trekkers without guides, or those who chose to wait out the storm, ended up stranded at high camp and had to be rescued. We were fortunate to make it safely off the mountain in time, though it meant rerouting the second half of our trip. Even with the detour - we thoroughly this trip thanks to the amazing team. The porters were also incredible companions. Without them, carrying all of our belongings for three weeks would have been tough!!

Absolutely Stunning

The most stunning trek you can imagine. The Himalaya's really are great cathedrals of nature. Walk alongside 3 of the top 10 peaks in the world, with an itinerary set up to ensure you succeed at altitude and make it over the amazing Thorong La Pass at 5,416m. Most competitors do the trek in 2 weeks, missing large sections or not acclimatising properly - the 22 day version means you complete (just about) everything.

The leader, Sudarshan (Su) made the trip extra special. He went far above that which was required for his role. His attention to detail, to our every need and always being there in case an issue presented itself was outstanding. In fact I wished quite a few times he would simply relax and allow himself some time to himself to rest!

This trek is a great introduction to all that is Nepal. A full-on itinerary including short trek, history, wild life, city culture, rafting and fabulous views. Well lead with Udaya. A leader who went out of his way to make sure all went smoothly. To bear in mind....although not as many as the Annapurna sanctuary trek, stone steps are prevalent on this trek and at some tea houses clients had to share 4 to a room because of the shortage of rooms and the larger group (14) I would definitely recommend this walk for a first timer in Nepal or indeed a seasoned trekker (like me) who wanted a change from the "mainstream" trekking but who loves the country

Best trek yet! If you’re after creature comforts this isn’t for you; if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and explore the beautiful Annapurna range, meet locals, see some awesome-inspiring scenery, stay in rustic, basic accommodation but have some of the heartiest, tastiest meals and best hospitality ever, whilst taking on a challenging yet deeply rewarding trek, this is for you. Su, our tour leader, was exceptional, nothing was too much bother and he became the 11th member of our group. The crew and guides were fantastic, setting an achievable pace that meant we could chat as we walked or just enjoy the quiet as we took on a section of steeper steps, it all meant we were well-acclimatised for altitude and hardly had any effects whatsoever. Every day was different so there was never a dull moment and always something new to see - we even saw monkeys! The days spent in Kathmandu and Pokhara to top and tail the trip were the perfect intros and downtime to show two very different sides of Nepalese life. The food was fantastic - light, flavourful and satisfying. Have the momos and Dal Baht - you won’t regret it! Going during Nepalese Diwali (Tihar), made the experience even more magical to be honest. Fully recommend going then to get that added cultural experience as well! Just couldn’t have had a better two weeks away in the mountains (with a bit of culture thrown in) if I tried!
