The trip entailed an easy 10km walk in the local national park situated in the foothills of Kathmandu. The drive to the start of our trek was only 1hour away, but it was a perfect way to escape to the countryside from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu town. The campsite was perfectly set up and ready for our arrival, tents with beds and lighting and with a restaurant and bar which served the freshest food for lunch and then a lovely bbq in the evening. In the morning we had a few snowy mountains to greet us for breakfast and then after a short walk to the local village, we were then served lunch before out transport took us back down to Kathmandu.

Everything about this trip was great! Mr Khum was very responsive to all of my questions. Puran and Megendra were so helpful during the trek. Especially on the day we crossed Larkya Pass. The ascent was not too difficult but the descent was extremely hard for me. Puran helped me the entire way down, even slipping and falling just to help me. And Megendra offered to carry my bags on that day because I had food poisoning on top of the difficult hike. Overall I am really pleased with this trip, with the guides and porters being so friendly and helpful. I can't wait to plan for my next Nepal adventure!

I booked the Mera Peak trek with this local travel specialist. The whole experience was just perfect. Communication prior to the trip was agile and helpful. The attention to details was exquisite, from pick up at the airport, to transport to Ranechap local airport and everything during the trek (food, accommodation, guides, porter, etc.).
To top it alll I managed to summit Mera Peak (6470 m) on my first attempt.
The sleeping bag and down jacket provided were perfect, very warm.
They could not do their job any better!

I just completed a EBC and Gokyo Valley trip organized by this local travel specialist based in Nepal, what a wonderful itinerary. EBC is a bit of a letdown as there isn't much to see but Kala Patthar, the glaciers, the mountain pass and Gokyo part of the trip certainly make up for it. At times challenging with the altitude but worth the effort. Everything went smoothly with the company, if you are traveling solo expect tto share a room in the tea houses unless you communicate in advance specific needs or request. Most teahouses have sharing accommodations and rely on income form meals, so unless it is planned in advance sharing would be expected. Overall communication was prompt and excellent, our guide was very knowledgeable, experienced, and patient. Our group was very small, just two of us. I had a bit of altitude sickness and was unsure about being able to complete the mountain pass after EBC, I had no doubt arrangements would be made should I needed to come back sooner. The agency was also great with hotel accommodations and tours in Kathmandu. Highly recommend them, Arjum and Raj are geat to work with.

Almost everyday was a new challenge and we were pushing out limits everyday in this "mountain test". Through all the good or poor weather, we still manage to see so many scenic views. It was a super exciting 14 day trekking trip with the best guide Bishwa! He was relatable and really humorous.
If I could turn back time, I would still do it all over again. :)

The trekking offers fantastic views of the best Annapurna and Manaslu region. It takes you through a relative off-the-beaten remote path, escape the masses, and see the beautiful landscapes, snow-capped mountains, high glacier lakes and spot the most stunning flora and fauna. Especially, the circuit passes many Nepalese and Tibetan cultural heritage sites, which gives you an authentic insight in the local Nepalese culture.
One highlight to note is that the route is a lot less tourists, and this sets the trek apart from its busier neighbours the Annapurna Circuit and EBC. People said Manaslu Circuit is everything the Annapurna Circuit is, but it allows for more genuine trekking experience.

Everything was well organized both with the mangager Chris before the trip and the guide Appa during the tour. I had a private tour with a guide and a porter. It was a great help so I did not have to carry all my heavy climbing equipment and cold weather clothes. I normally carry everything myself but this just gives me more time to enjoy the beautiful landscape. I think that the porter was also an extra safety if something happened on the way - but fortunately everything went well.
The tour was perfect for acclimatization starting in the lower "jungle", so I never felt really bad with headache/altitude sickness. Yes it is still hard to breathe and don't expect to sleep perfect every night!
Please do not think that this is an easy trip. You spend a lot of time above 5000meters in the cold and very little oxygen. Some days in tents and some days in small teahouses. I/we did not have to carry a tent. From Mera high camp and until after Island peak tents were available at the camp sites. Also food was available at all the camping sites (all food was included in the price but water and other drinks not). Expect to eat a lot of noodles, rice and eggs. Water cost up to around 3USD and soda maybe 4-5USD for 1/2 liter bottle. But prices are lower closer to the start and end. I also used water purification tablets that are sold everywhere in Kathmandu for parts of the trip.
The tour through the jungle is a lot of walking up and down every day.
Mera Peak summit is a long walk - on summit day expect to walk in deep snow and sometimes almost to the knees because the surface is not always strong enough. So one step up and you sink half a step down again. There are a lot of crevasses that you have to jump over - you are tied together with the guide with a rope for safety.
The view from Mera Peak is really good. You see Himalaya and Mt Everest in the distance. Only a handfull of people on the summit this day.
There was nobody besides me, the guide and the porter for the next few days until Island Peak basecamp.
Most days it's clear in the morning and clouds arrive around midday - so don't plan to walk all day if you want to enjoy the view (I went in April/May)
The last day on the way to Amphu Lapcha pass we got a lot of snow but luckily it was 90% clear again in the morning.
It is very steep up to the pass. There are steel wires some places that you can attach your safety line to. There are some passages where you have to climb a little bit. The view from the pass is really good.
Going down you start abseiling and after this, most places you have wires you can attach to because you are walking on a very small path (not a path but just a little peace of the rock big enough for a foot) and it is very steep down to the side.
I had a rest day in basecamp. I definitely don't recommend arriving late here and go for the summit the same night because both are two very long and hard days. At Island peak there are many other people.
The summit day is long and hard. The first part is just walking but you end up looking at an almost vertical icewall you have to climb before you reach the ridgeline going to the summit. It is very very steep and takes a long time.
The last few minutes on the ridge to the summit are amazing as you are one a very thin ridge steep down to both sides (there is a fixed rope for safety). Very beautiful with views to Lhotse and Ama Dablam. The summit is very small so only a few people can stand on the summit.
Many do but also many do not make it to the summit. I guess most are not acclimatized well enough but also because this is not easy.
Normally you go straight back to Lukla but I had added three days (plus the 2 spare days) to the itinerary to go to Everest basecamp/Kala Patthar via Kongma La Pass.
Yes it is hard to stay at this altitude for so long but it was definitely worth it.
Luckily I had a few clear days and after seeing Everest clearly from Kala Patthar the clouds came. And the next days I almost did not see any snow covered mountain top because of clouds. It's easy to go back.
While we were going back the guide arranged to reschedule the flights without any problem since I did not use my spare days.
So I had a few days extra in Kathmandu to see some temples and do some shopping.
I met again with Chris, I gave him back the included duffelbag for the porter and a down sleepingbag that I had used. It was both good quality.
So everything went well and good organized and I could change things before and during the trip to fit what I wanted.
The guide was very experienced and knew the mountains very well and made sure that I was safe all the time.

The trek to Mera Peak is bit strenuous but enjoyable. The biggest challenge is weather and sudden change of climate. We had a cancelled flight on day 1, due to poor visibility . We then asked our tour operator to book helicopter to travel to lukla. The local operator did exceptionally well in handling the situation and our,s was the only heli to leave kathmandu for lukla that day. Thanks to Mr Krishna Subedi for his great service and personal care through out our tours.
The trek started from lukla with guide Mingma Sherpa and porter umesh rai. Both of them were gem of the person. We owe much of our success to these guides and porters.
The trek was good but we did encountered misty and heavy weather coupled with steep hike ascend and decends for first 4 days. then we reached Kothe, nice valley and very picturesque place. we stayed at Lama Lodge, managed by lady called Ms Diky . I think this is the best lodge/home stay during the whole trek. Trek from here was bit easy upto Khare. then come difficult paart of trek, extreme cold, walking over snow and altitude issues.
we did well , as a first time to scale over 6k meters and did not have any altitude sickness. It was tough trek but at end we enjoyed it and loving it to share our joy with every one.

My guide Gopal is a very cheerful and funny person. He sang and laughed a lot during the trek. He is very caring as well. He adjusted his speed to suit my conditions and the altitudes. He is helpful and professional as well. He can name all those mountains name. Although he is a bit fat, he is fit and energetic. I really enjoy the time with him. My porter is slim but very strong. He is a responsible guy as well. Both if them speak good English and always share their experience to us. The trek is well planned and comprehensive. I do not need to worry much but just trek in the trip. Lucky to have superb guide and porter.

If you have limited time for trekking, then this is the best trek to book. You can also consider flying to Pokhara if you want to spend more time roaming around Pokhara. The trail is very tourist friendly, appropriate for all ages who wants to trek. Very nice weather and has clearing in the summit during month of october to november.Hope to be back next year!

We had an amazing trip and this travel agency is a great company to work with. November was the right time to go to Nepal. Sitting underneath the Himalayan giants was incredible. The trails are really tough. They are steep and beat up. We only had 6 of the original 10 that made the whole trek. AMS and people who just didn't take training seriously. This is a HARD hike! Prepare and you will be fine if you don't you will get an expensive helicopter ride out. Recommend going EBC then Cho La. It was nice to have fewer people on the trail at the end and the pull up the western side of Cho La seems horrible. I was glad to be heading down. Food is good but you may want to supplement protein after Namche.

I travelled alone in the 2nd week of October. Weather was pretty good (only showers in the evening) and sunrises in Poon Hill and Tadapani just amazing. It wasn't as cold as expected and could do without a sleeping bag.
The trek is great to get a taste of Nepal beyond the cities, offers lots of opportunities for protography, and can be done even by people with no head for heights (you don't have to be "schwindelfrei"). Deepak -my guide- was incredibly helpful, adjusting to my pace while keeping the tempo, helping all the time and even looking for "Shiva trees" to shoot. Thank you very much!

My partner and I organised the Upper Mustang trek through the local operator. Communication was excellent with Surya and customising the itinerary was made very easy.
We had a fantastic experience on the trek with our excellent guide Tersang making sure we were all looked after the whole time. He was very knowledgeable about the region, telling us the history of the places we visited and he knew the best places to stay and visit. We went at a pace that suited us and when my partner injured herself he organised a Jeep at short notice.
Tersang is very friendly and personable and made the tough days easier.

This is a classic 10 to 14 day trek, and one of the few options in Nepal at the height of the monsoon season, since it traverses a high altitude desert landscape in the rain shadow of Annapurna. It takes you into the formerly closed Kingdom of Lo, and it's medieval mud-walled capital, Lo-mantang. The landscape is at a vast scale, sparsely populated, and with few tourists, partly because it is strenuous to get there, and partly because the $500 permit fee keeps many out. That is all likely to change in the next few years, as a major road is being built from India to Tibet, through the valley. This is a marvel of twisting, precarious engineering, but rather spoils at least one day of the trek, when the foot trail completely disappears. The unique Tibetan culture of upper Mustang is also likely to be diluted as a result of the influx of goods and people, but for now it is still an amazing place.

Raj was the best guide. His assistant Romas (should soon be a guide) was so attentive to our needs and always smiling and helpful with everything. The mood was always casual and happy, which I can only imagine is tough with spoiled Westerners constantly complaining about everything form the bathroom facilities, to the traditional food, to the weather. Everyone in our group had a great time!

went with this tour operator for my trip to the annapurna circuit. I booked online because they responded quickly to my requests, the price was also very good. When I arrived my guide picked me up from the airport to the office for a briefing moment, very professional and kind people there.
The day afterwards we went for my private trek. My guide spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable about the area and the Tibetan culture. He also knew a lot of altidude sickness and helped me prevent to get it. A lot of people got that sickness who were doing the trek by themselves. I would recommend to anyone who is doubting to hire a guide to do it, because it so much more safer and you will learn more about the area.

Absolutely breathtaking!
Magnificent views that start on the way to Lukla and just keep getting more spectacular with every step.
The trek is, in my opinion, quite strenuous and requires a decent level of fitness but the rewards more than make up for any of the physical exertions- I cannot express just how beautiful and rugged the landscape is.
This is a great introductory trip to the Himalayas- thoroughly recommended.

The trek was set up by Chattra. I had undertaken a knee replacement five and a half months before the trek and was a little anxious if I would manage ok (I had been training and was in good shape) - this was relayed to Chattra. We (Mary, Julie, Rob and Mike) were set up with two Porters (Vishnu and Kumar) and a guide (Nir). All arrangements for jeep/bus travel were arranged and paid for in advance. Our guide Nir was excellent. He spoke English well and was experienced and well respected wherever we went. He advised us to purchase spikes and gaiters due to snow at the pass, which proved invaluable. The walk was well paced, stopping for breaks regularly and Nir advised us what to eat and drink to avoid stomach upset. He constantly monitored us for Altitude Sickness, recording the information daily. We cleared over the Thorong La pass and encountered headaches and some nausea at the top, which cleared when we descended (it seemed everyone, not just in our group, was affected some how). As the trek circuit went on we made some adjustments to our days, to best make use of our time, and Nir facilitated this easliy with no fuss. Rob had one difficult day after we cleared the pass with flu like symptoms and fatigue. He soldiered on and Vishnu (our strong and quiet porter) stuck to him like glue to ensure he didn't stumble or fall when descending from Ghorepani. Rob was immensely grateful to Vishnu for this as he felt rotten at the time. We finished with two nights in Pokhara and one night in Kathmandu. Nir continued to advise us taking us to great local eateries and made sure we paid the right price. Each evening throughout the trek he briefed us in detail as to the arrangements ahead and told us stories of myth and legend, also of the socio-political structure of Nepal, with as impartial a view as he could. The team who shepherded us along the trail were first class. The trail itself was breathtaking with views that were both colossal and awe inspiring. The villages were from a time gone by and the food was simple and tasty. The sanitary arrangements were basic and would not be to everyone's liking. Some days were long and need a fair degree of fitness to manage. This trek is not for the faint hearted, but for those who can manage, the rewards are truly fantastic. My knee was not a problem throughout - no pain or swelling (thanks Dr Andrew Hodge).

My girlfriend and I booked an 11 day trek of the Langtang Valley and Gosainkunda Lakes in April. We couldn't be happier with our experience! Nepal Climbing Adventure was responsive to our inquiries, and they helped us craft our own, custom itinerary for our trek. Furthermore, they rented sleeping bags, puffy jackets, and trekking poles at a very reasonable rate. Lastly, the trek itself was very well organized and accommodating. Our guide, Dal Bahadur Gurung was highly experienced and knew many details about the landscape that we were travelling through. He told us about the local cultures, history, and mythology of the mountains. Dal was also extremely friendly and became like a brother to us. Most importantly, he was extremely professional and helped provide the best possible experience despite unforeseen weather conditions.
During the trip, one of our friends had a family emergency for which we had to arrange an emergency return to NYC from Dingboche. In Lobuche, we were hit with a very strong Blizzard which had us stuck in Gorakshep for multiple nights. Despite these challenges, Dal helped us experience a once in a lifetime experience.
Upendra, the coordinator, was also an incredible asset to the team. Communicating with him over a period of a year to plan out a customized itinerary, and his support during the actual trek was absolutely essential. I will book with the operator again. Request for Dal. He is the best

It was great! The guides and porters were amazing and felt like a part of our group. We had so much fun together. The accommodations at night were better than we expected and there was even a (warm) shower! The meals along the way were nice as well. I go to Langtang trek at mid Feb 2019. This is my first trip to Nepal so I ask much about trip and Mr.Khum is super quick to reply my email. Also when I arrived at Kathmandu, I met mr.Khum and he give me more detail explanation about the trip. Thanks also to my friends, my guide, Samrat Katel and my porter, Pinoj. When the weather is not so good to go to Kyanjin, so Samrat can quickly make another direction area. And honestly, this new area is soooo good!! We go to Sherpagoun area and Kamcim area. From this area you can see both Langtang mountain, Gosaikunda area, Syabrubensi and also Dunche!! Really good view, scenery and also people in thats area.

We enjoyed our trek very much. Our guide Raju and our porters Ramos and Dawa were friendly and helpful. A tip: If you decide to do this trek in winter, please bring some snow irons for under your shoes. Our guide told us they weren't necessary but I rented them and walked so much easier in the snow and ice! Would recommend this company, if you want to change anything in your itinerary, they are very accommedating and make it happen. Also they are very relax and calm. Everything is possible in Nepal!

Excellent trip! My wife and I identified the itinerary that we wanted for our trip to Nepal (Poon Hill trek, rafting and Chitwan safari with New Years Eve in Kathmandu) and we searched various travel companies to help make the itinerary work for us. We got in touch with local tour specialists through Bookmundi. Shiva responded quickly and arranged the itinerary that we wanted with some extras that we hadnt considered all for a reasonable price. After a few emails back and forth with Shiva to confirm all the details we were ready, happy and confident that the trip would be great.
After arriving in Kathmandu, everything was arranged for us, and we were assigned Prakash as our guide for the week along with a porter for the trek. Prakash was talkative and funny, and looked after us greatly. He was happy to share many things about his culture and we enjoyed his company. He has been doing many treks in Nepal for the past 7 years, so he knows his stuff and we knew we were in capable hands. Also, he understands a lot of foreign cultures and knows what we are looking for in with our time in Nepal.
The trek was fabulous with beautiful views and we were lucky to have such great weather in December (sunny, 15C in the day and less than 5C at night). The tea houses that you stay in are basic, most had hot water for a shower (but maybe try and be the first or second one in the shower so the hot water doesnt run out!), and the food was decent. Note that any drinks (including teas and water) are to be paid for yourself, but everything else is included (i.e. accommodation and food). Day 1 lasts around 4 hours hike all uphill, Day 2 is 7 hours hike all uphill, Day 3 is 7 hours hike uphill and downhill, and Day 4 is 4 hours all downhill. The paths are well maintained (some of the steps are quite big!), lots of tea houses to stop off at along the way (usually every hour or so) and they have a lot of supplies.
The rafting on the Trisuli River was fun. It is around 20km which takes around 3 hours and there were 9 of us in the rafting boat. The water is cold, and depending on the company you go with you need to check whether there are showers at the end, or at least how you will get to warm clothing / shower.
The Chitwan safari was good experience. We stayed in a nice lodge (Hermitage) and went on a boat, walk and jeep safari. The vegetation was very high in December making it more difficult to view the animals, but we still hit lucky and saw a lot. You can do elephant riding and there are other tricks that the elephants can do. We chose not to go with these as we were sceptical about their training.
We used a private car to get from Pokhara to the rafting, then to Chitwan, then back to Kathmandu. For us we felt it was worth doing and Shiva booked it all for us, and Prakash was with us to make sure it all went smoothly. When we were back in Kathmandu, Shiva took us to a lovely local restaurant with dancing to see how the trip went for us. Both Shiva and Prakash really looked after us and made sure everything went to plan. Great trip, thoroughly enjoyed, thank you to both of them!

The trek as a whole was easy to book and communication with the organisations head Mr Khum by email was very appreciated and timely throughout. Mr Khum was more than helpful when it came to orangising transport and catering for the changing schedule of our trail, flights and transport. We had 3 guides. 1 was really good, called Prabin Tamang, who took us to Annapurna. We wish we had Pabin for the entire 21 days and recommend for anyone looking to use this organisation that they ask for him, he will go above and beyond to make the experience everything you could hope for. As for the other guides we found them to be average in comparison to Prabin in the sense that they were cheap with our pre paid daily allowance, unclear on the conditions of that daily allowance and whilst they may have known about the history of the trails and region they couldnt convey it in English. We didnt use a porter and found the trek fine in terms of weight but recommend that you dont try to condense the trail for self imposed time constraints and instead take the time to acclimatise and enjoy the beauty and culture of each region. We would happily use this organisation again and recommend using it to anyone who is looking at this adventure, especially with the support of Mr Khum and Prabin Tamang.

I did the trek late November to early December. Wonderful clear blue sky all but 2 days. It was however starting to get real cold in the end. The trail up to EBC was still a bit busy, but the other part was almost empty! I walked without a porter, definitely doable but the day crossing the passes are very tough.

I did the 12 days EBC trekking with the local operator. I was introduced to this company by a friend who highly recommend it. Liaising with Bookmundi and the operator was seamless! I suspect Upendra (the director of the company) is always on his phone as his replies to me was very fast! I got the altitude sickness at the top (such a bummer) but Upendra managed to handle everything (i.e. liaising with the insurance, hospital, helicopter etc) swiftly. I too cannot thank enough the porters and my guide who carried our bags and took care of us. Overall it was a good trip and I highly recommend Bookmundi and the operator!

I greatly enjoyed my adventure in the Khumbu region. The tour operator took care of all of the details of my 3 Passes trek. My guide Sange was awesome. He was an amazing coach when the going got hard and was good company as I was on my own most of the trip. I could tell that he wanted me to succeed and get the most out of my adventure. While the EBC trail was pretty crowded in October, the 3 passes were amazing. We went counterclockwise, which I would recommend. My only other advice would be that the first pass (Kongma La) is the hardest and not to lose heart. The subsequent passes are more beautiful and go quicker. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company and my guide and porter (Sange and Dave) to anyone considering a trip.

This trekking is amazing. The only thing really bad is the road from Kathmandu to Syaprubensi, the starting point... 8 painful hours to drive 134 km. Prepare yourself for the road... its even worst that I can tell.
You will see different views... the first day maybe is the hardest one, always going up and down in the middle of the forest... but once in the kanjing ri point (4800 meters more or less) you will see that it worths the effort.
Some tea houses are very basic but you will be provided with the necessary to assure your personal hygiene... even if they dont have hot shower you can always ask for a bucket of hot water and wash yourself every day. I suggest you to take with you an disinfectant spray for the tea houses bed clothes; some of them have bugs that can go inside your sleeping bag.
Maybe the most difficult thing is the toilet, if that is important to you... normally a latrine not so clean as you may expect, but remember that you are in an adventure so try to see it this way.
You will cross lots of porters in your way.. remember to give them priority in the way... they hard work deserves our respect and recognition... they are persons like we are.
And just one more suggestion: please be careful with the trash... I saw some empty cookies packets, empty bottles of water, cigarettes packets, sweets packets on the way (even sanitary pads)... so keep the trash with you until you find a bin... if we go there its because the nature is important to us so its our duty to protect it.
I wish you a good and safe trekking and really hope that you will be so happy as I was over there.

A beautiful valley hike through forest at lower levels then up above the treeline with views of Langtang peaks and Nyakanga. Most people do this trek in 5 days but being older (l66 & 71) we organized it to do in 8 days which worked well. It provided for a nice pace and a chance to really experience the Tamang culture.

Unfortunately, we were not able to complete even one full day of the Manaslu Circuit trek, as we got hit by a rock fall on the very first day. My boyfriend was hit by the stones, but luckily, only on the leg. However, he couldn't walk any further and we had to get evacuated by helicopter the following morning. Our guide Raju and porter Amrit, were wonderful through all this and helped us as much as they could, which was extremely precious. Even Khum from the office came to the hospital when we arrived and helped us with all the arrangements. We are extremely grateful for their great help and assistance and surely will be back to complete the trek next year !

Due to weather conditions, we had to start the trip not as planned, adding few days for the original schedule (all flights to Lukla were canceled); in addition, Chola pass was closed for few days, so we had to change our plans and do only the EBC part. we met also other tourists which were waiting for a week in Namche bazzar for the weather to get better, but eventually, had to change their plans as well. the trek was a great experience and my best advice is to come in October onward and not to count on the statistics on September.

We had a great time trekking to Annapurna Base Camp, our guide and porters were professional, friendly and always sorted us out. It rained a lot - so if you're going in the monsoon, be aware and bring lots of waterproofs! We saw beautiful views and incredible scenery when the clouds cleared, however, which made it all worthwhile. The trek is of medium difficulty, with a lot of stone stairs to climb and descend, so be fit and invest in good boots and poles!

Regardless of this time of the year being in the monsoon,upendra assured me that the trek is possible and i might have really really bad luck if i didnt see the mountains. True enough,the skies cleared up one fine day at gorakshep and we got to see all the big boys. Upendra was very prompt in replying his messages before,during and after the trek. The trip was amazing. Upendra support was flawless and the guide Bala and the assistant guide Ruhit were very helpfull and just a joy to be with. We were a bit unlucky in the end with the weather and Upendra and Bala got us the best deal to return with a Helicopter. (Everyone i met afterwards payed hundreds more) The complementary meal in the end was so good... the only thing i didn't like as much was the bathrooms on the tea house in gorak shep but this is something that is out of the hands of hymalaian leisure.

The views were worth it. Challenging but doable, and so empowering ! Everyday was a different landscape, deeply beautiful in it's own way. The top was so alien, draw and dream like, while Durali (hidden valleys) are so green and soothing. Challenging but doable, and so empowering ! We loved our guide Dharma. He is a kind and caring man. He took great care of us and was very professional and attentive. He was also fun to be around and we had some our most unforgettable moments laughing, singing "Risham Firiri" and dancing with him. Pasang was our Sherpa, he was a shy young man with a beautiful smile and superhero energy, when we made it to ABC, he continued to the top of one the mountains, RUNNING, with a friend from his village!! Our local operator's team were always reactive and arranged for this amazing team.

This trip will challenge you in so many ways but the rewards are worth it. In my opinion, this is the perfect trip because you still get a taste of the regular EBC route along with the comforts that are on that route, but you also branch off and get to experience a much less beaten path within Nepal. The passes also do a great job of preparing you for the ultimate challenge....Island Peak. As for Island Peak, I promise you'll look back on the experience and think, "wow...I really did that". Having seen the three pass route and parts of the regular EBC route, I recommend this trip for anyone wanting a more remote and challenging experience, helping to prepare for a 6000m summit.

Fantastic experience with this local tour operator. We had a group of five for the ABC 10 day trek expertly looked after by our exceptional guide Kamal and wonderful porters Ram and Gorga. One of our group was sick with the flu and was gently nursed to the top by Kamal. Without his experience she never would have made it.
Kamals endless enthusiasm and happy smile made this trek a really enjoyable experience and we all strongly recommend him to anyone considering a Nepal trek.
Khum from the local operator organised everything expertly, and was a godsend when we were delayed en route due to airport difficulties. I dont usually use a tour operator but was hugely relieved when things went to custard in Guangzhou on the way all I had to do was message Khum and everything was reorganised instantly.
If you are thinking about a trekking trip to Nepal, book with this operator I am sure you will have a smooth trip.

The Three Passes Trek is the ultimate tour of the Everest region. It was my first trek at altitude, and I was a little concerned about attempting this route, but I am so happy I did it. The Three Passes Trek takes you off the beaten path (read crowded trail) of the straight up and down EBC route, and provides all of the highlights of the region, both in terms of stunning mountain views and the local culture.
We completed our clockwise circuit (Renjo Pass, Cho La Pass, and Kongma La Pass) in 17 days, and probably could have accomplished everything in about 15 days, however it was important to have some buffer space to acclimatize and rest. Be prepared for cold weather and snow - we had about a foot of fresh snow going over the Cho La Pass, which created a beautiful scenery along with an extra hard push to the top.
Also, expect to spend time in Lukla after your trek is done as flight delays are the norm.
It is definitely a much more challenging route, but the rewards are absolutely worth the effort!

It is hard to describe in words how beautiful the EBC trek is in itself. The changing landscapes from lush green to barren beautiful peaks as you gain height. The ever delectable food and adorable hospitality of Nepalese people that doesn't stop to surprise you no matter how extreme the living conditions get. In the end the trek will teach you how to cherish simple pleasures in life.
What made the trek more memorable was to have a great guide and team by your side. Many thanks to Ganga & his team for making our trip so smooth from start to end. Be it answering our innumerable questions before the trek or making arrangements through it. It was all made easy for us. All we had to do daily was trek, eat, relax & sleep. We were lucky to have good weather on the first day to Lukla and surprise we had an upgrade to a helicopter ride. If you have an option then do ask for Dinesh as your guide. He was very patient, extremely hospitable & very helpful during our rescue. We were lucky enough to complete the trek till base camp, however, at Gorak Shep my husband got sick with diarrhoea and we were to be rescued to Kathmandu. Our guide, Ganga & Balaram were very helpful in assisting in a speedy rescue. I cannot thank them enough for it. We were on a roller coaster of emotions throughout the trek. Overwhelmed by the beauty of it, thankful for reaching the end but it was two torturous days at Gorak Shep when we had to wait for the rescue due to bad weather. During this tough time I had the opportunity to meet other guides from the same company. The way the entire team came together to coordinate and help us get immediate rescue as soon as weather was clear, was just impeccable.

We loved the Annapurna Circuit hike! Bhim (our guide) and Pemba (our porter) did a wonderful job! They made sure we were well taken care of, picked the best tea houses and food and kept an eye on our overall health. When we first decided to take this trip we weren't sure if we should book with a company or just go on our own. We both agree that the money was well worth it and our experience was much better having used the operator! This trip was very well organized by Raj who always answered my emails promptly, met us a couple times before and then after our hike and arranged all our transport!
What can we say...we are very impressed by the experience!

Highly recommended. We had a fantastic 8-day tour of the Langtang Valley booked through a local operator. From first email contact, collection at the airport, all internal transfers and then post-trip follow up, Khum Subedi and his team were friendly, prompt and effective operators. Whilst trekking, our guide, Min Agar, gave us consistent service with a smile, friendly conversation and local insights, particularly into local life pre- and post-2015 earthquake that so devastated Nepal. Our only regret is that we couldnt stay for another trek!

The trek was challenging but is manageable if adequate prior training is carried out especially to counter Altitude Sickness. The accommodations are basic and do expect the weather to be erratic and be well supplemented with warm clothing. Food is basic but hot honey lemon ginger and garlic soup will keep you nourished. Do consider returning from EBC via helicopter in pre-trip planning if to and fro journey is too exhausting.

The 3 Passes Trek was an awesome adventure. Over 16 days we experienced great views and charming mountain villages. We are glad we got off the busier route with so many people just doing the EBC trek, but still glad to have gone too to check it off the bucket list. Each of the three passes provided a unique view of the Himalayas, and while often challenging - worth every step. Some of our favourite moments were standing on top of the highest pass, Kongma La, overlooking the partially frozen lake and the walk over a glacier to get to Cho La pass.

The Annapurna Circuit trek is a very well known and popular hike in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The start of the start of the trek at low altitude will take you through lush, tropical forests with spectacular waterfalls and colourful local plant life. As you progress higher, the scenery will change and you will hike through pine forests similar to those you will find in Northern Europe. As you climb higher still, the landscape will become more barren and dramatic all the way up to the thorog la pass 5416m. At each stage you of course get incredible views of several amazing mountains on the route including Annapurna I, II, III and VI, Gangapurna, Tilichio and several others.
The terrain is generally rocky (I went in the dry season so cant say how it is other times of year) and of course as you would expect it is fairly hilly! There are several large climbs and descents, which get harder as you gain altitude. Most people bring walking sticks which help the knees.
A road has now been constructed along a large section of the route which of course does ruin a bit of the peace and quiet, however there are not a huge amount of vehicle using it at present. Each time a vehicle passes it does kick up a lot of dust but it wasnt a big problem for me. You will also be sharing the walk with donkeys, yaks goats and ponies.
The accommodation is local guest lodges, called Tea Houses most are basic but perfectly comfortable and clean, and each place we stayed in was run by a friendly nepali, (usually family run) You can usually get a hot shower although not always available.
You will pass through many towns ranging from very small to quite large. Each is charming and you will have lots of fun exploring them. There are plenty of temples, prayer wheels etc to check out.
The food is very tasty and plentiful - Each Tea house will cook you a decent hot meal with traditional Nepalise dishes such as Dhal Bhat and mo-mo on the menu.
Please take note that you do need to be in good physical condition to complete this hike. It is not a gentle stroll in the park and some parts do get steep. Having said that as long as you are in good health you should not be put off by this route.
I am sure I will never forget this trip, it was a really fantastic way to spend 2 weeks and I look forward to returning to Nepal!

After a rocky start due to bad weather in Lukla, our group had a great trek. Poor visibility prevented us from flying into Lukla for 4 days (so give yourself some wiggle room), after which we helicoptered in. Our guide, Nirmal, helped us condense the trek from 12 days to 9 days so that we could still make our international flights home. Nirmal and Suneal, one of the porters, were fantastic every step of the way and ensured that everyone in the group had a great time. The trek was absolutely beautiful.

An absolutely beautiful trekking experience.Of course, it all depends on the weather - we had two clear mornings, the first one on Poon Hill to see the Dhaulagiri - Annapurna - Fishtail Panorama in the sunrise (of course you share the view with about 200 other trekkers who make their way up the stairs to Poon Hill before sunrise), and the second one from Fishtail Lodge - a spectacular view as well of Annapurna South and Fishtail.It also depends on your guide - we had a great one, very friendly, very knowledgable, very flexible, very funny. He definitely helped make this an unforgettable experience. For the limited time we had definitely the best choice - although a bit crowded in places.

Thank you so much for organising such a wonderful trek. From start to finish we felt in safe hands, starting with Khum in the Kathmandu office briefing us Andrew setting expectations which was really helpful. Then on trial it was mainly thanks to the warmth and professional guidance of Braveen. Alongside Dawa who was an absolute trooper, Braveen provided great information and assistance at every stage. The guesthouses were always very comfortable and the food was tasty and filling.
The surroundings of the trek absolutely blew our minds but it was the company of Braveen and Dawa that made it something special. We laughed, sang, hiked and got bitten by leeches together and we'd definitely recommend the tour and our two guides to anyone coming to Nepal for their own adventure.

The Langtang Circuit trek was wonderful. The owner Chhatra was very helpful and understanding when we were booking our trek. He was always quick to respond to any questions we had.
The trek itself was beautiful- sweeping mountain views, beautiful valleys, and green rainforests. It's also challenging, so make sure you prepare yourself physically. August/September can be cloudy and rainy but the trail was also very peaceful! I only saw 8-10 other tourists during the two weeks.
Our guide Chandra was amazing: flexible, patient, and informative. He really tried to give us the best experience possible. Even our porter Mundep was very friendly, always laughing, dancing, or teaching us Nepali words.

My and my wife we've done 17 days Everest Base Camp and Island Peak trek in May 2017. It was definitely experience of our lives. It is very demanding and you have to be well prepared physically and mentally to do it but is so worth it. Hikking to the EBC alone is very challenging but if you want something more and you have one more week of your time you should combine EBC and climbing to Island Peak.

Our group of 3 had an incredible EBC trek, all thanks to our Ngima, our guide, and Pasang, our porter (and of course, Upendra!). From the very beginning before even booking until the very last day in Kathmandu, Upendra was extremely helpful in answering our many questions. Our airport pickups, hotel booking, Lukla flights, and trekking logistics were well prepared and organized. We flew on the most reliable airline to/from Lukla, stayed at clean and comfortable tea houses along the trek, and had an overall great trek. One member of the group stayed in Namche Bazaar and our guide constantly checked in on his status. EBC trek was an amazing experience, made all the better with our fantastic guide who was super thoughtful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Our Nepali cultural farewell dinner our last night in Kathmandu was a fun and delicious experience!

This April I took part in a Mt. Everest base camp tour via helicopter through this local tour agency. Everything necessary for the tour (flights, helicopter, etc.) were all reserved in advance and the program director personally picked me up from my hotel in the morning.
Unfortunately, due to bad weather, the helicopter tour did not take place. Despite the poor circumstances, my tour operator was more than willing to work with me on options and pricing given the circumstances. I truly appreciated their flexibility, and would be inclined to choose them for any Nepal based tours moving forward.

The trek was even more incredible than I imagined. The accommodation and the food made it relaxing after walking for the day through breath taking scenery. Everyday you see unreal views of some of the most amazing mountains in the world. My personal favourite was the part walking to Gokyo Lake. This route is less busy and it felt like a real adventure. Walking through the different altitudes felt like different worlds, constantly changing landscapes, terrain and wild life.Gokyo was by far may favourite village to stay in, with views overlooking Gokyo Ri and the lake. The nepali people are warm, friendly and make you feel at home in their lodges. Walking through several villages, seeing how the people live and the families was an experience which was worth it alone.The route is perfect if you want to see Gokyo lake, base camp and kalapatar without walking back the same way. I believe that walking up via gokyo, chola pass and then to gorshep really assisted in my altitude acclimatization.

This is a really exciting trek. I have been hiking/mountaineering for nearly 20 years, and on this trek walked through almost all terrain encountered previously. The Annapurna circuit is a great trek, but can be very taxing especially if you don't have good support and well trained guides. My wife and I just finished our 9 (extended to 10) day trek from Pokhara to Annapurna Base Camp. We had Raj as our guide and Suna as our porter and both were great. As soon as we landed in Kathmandu Raj picked us up at the airport and drove us to our hotel. He let us get settled in and then took us over to their office in Thamel, a short walk away. The tour manager, Mr. Shiva, was very kind and accommodating and added an extra day for us in Pokhara after our trek to paraglide and explore, at a good price. He was also very responsive in coordinating with our guide Raj to ensure we were good with our flight back from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
As for the ABC trek itself, just do it. Its incredible. You're going to want to take pictures of everything. And Raj was fantastic. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. Suna, our porter, was also extremely helpful throughout the trek, and one day even ran ahead to secure us rooms for the night in an overbooked lodge. The hike is breathtakingly beautiful and we met a ton of cool people from all over the world along the way.
Bottom line is you could do this trek on your own, but because we booked through the operator, we never had to worry about anything. Our rooms were booked, no negotiating anything, our meals and drinks were paid for, and we didn't worry about permits and transportation. We also felt safer and more confident in parts of the trek with someone who knew the terrain. It made the whole experience so much less stressful. My wife and I had such a great time and are already thinking about when we can get back to Nepal to try a different trek.

I went on the Langtang Valley trek arranged by the local travel specialists and don`t regret a moment.
The whole trip was very well organized from start to finish and I had a fantastic guide in Suresh and a porter in Namraz. We took the local bus from Kathmandhu, an experience in itself, and then hiked for 6 days, reaching nearly 500 metres. The route was straightforward and beautiful all the way, especially at the end. We saw birds, monkeys, wild bee hives, and met very friendly people. I will never forget being in such a gorgeous place with such nice people.

A wonderful little try through the foothills of the Himalayas. Not particularly difficult, one just needs a little determination after a few days of walking downhill in snow. Essentially I did two treks: the well-known trip to Ghorepani and Poon Hill, and then on to the two base camps. I am 37 and in average physical condition and I found the going tough but not overwhelmingly so. The main challenge is climbing endless steps, both up and down. Hardly any of the trek is actually flat. I didn't have any trouble with my knees and I didn't need the trekking poles I bought in the end but if you don't think you can handle the strain on your knees and thighs etc then you'd probably best look at a trek which is flatter.
The first two days consist of walking up to Ghorepani via a series of tiny hamlets. In the sun it can be very hot, despite it being winter. The pre-dawn hike to Poon Hill was one of the hardest parts of the entire journey, mainly because it is done before breakfast and I felt quite weak and faint. I didn't think I would make it but I did in the end. The views at the top are beautiful. It wasn't freezing cold but gloves and a hat were handy. I borrowed a knock-off down jacket and used it during this climb and on a few other evenings but I could have done without it I think.
After Poon Hill was one of the most beautiful legs of the trek, walking through pine forests along the ridge of the mountains with spectacular views and then later alongside a stream until we reached Tadapani. After this there were a number of days where we didn't really ascend much but of course there were lots of steps up and down while we gradually skirted around the hills until we reached the valley which leads to MBC. Expect to see more hamlets, some villages, lots of cows and mules and goats, some flowers, plenty of trees and of course from time to time, the mountain peaks.
The final two sections from Bamboo to Deurali (3200 metres) and from Deurali to ABC (4100 metres) were very, very tough for me because I began to get out of breath due to the altitude. I was panting like I was running at top speed on the tread mill! My advice is simply to walk very, very slowly when climbing there. Try to take a breath for every step you take. (I was carrying 12kg on my back and it would definitely have been easier with a porter).
On the way down it was much quicker. It took me 2.5 hours to get from MBC to ABC, but on the way down, walking at brisk pace, I did the same distance in just 40 minutes. So my walking speed going up was 3 or 4 times slower than coming down.
I only stayed at ABC for an hour. The views are wonderful because you are surrounded by mountains and you can see (and hear) the glaciers. There are semi-frozen streams and huge boulders everywhere. I reached ABC on December 12th and it wasn't too cold but apparently I was lucky with the weather and in previous years it has been snowing at that time. That would have made things a lot more difficult.
One of the problems I had was washing clothes and drying them because there was so little sunshine, especially as we got higher. In the morning shade persisted until well after 10am and then the sun would go behind the peaks by around 3 or 4pm. At ABC the sun disappeared at 1.52pm!
A few items I brought with me which were very useful included a mini water filter (it paid for itself by the end), zip lock bags (to go to the toilet at night instead of walking outside in the freezing cold!), a portable clothes line (I dried my clothes in my room at night), oat bars (for a welcome snack and energy boost - these things aren't available in the trek), a high capacity power bank and a solar charger (you have to pay for electricity after Ghorepani), a microfibre towel (a normal towel would never dry!) and finally sunscreen spray (it gets very hot in the day).
I wish I had brought more liner socks (I had only two pairs, four would be better). Four hiking socks were enough. I also brought far too many chargers for my cameras and batteries and those weighed me down a bit. I also forgot to buy a sunhat which would have been useful. I had my own sleeping bag and a thermal liner and I was never cold at night. During the day I relied on trekking pants and a long-sleeved lightweight base layer. If the sun disappeared I either added a wool-based layer or my fleece. I had a thin rain jacket as well and that was very handy for keeping the wind off, though it wasn't very windy really and it never rained.

5 Days Trekking in the beautiful Langtang Valley, and 2 days sightseeing in Katmandu by private jeep. The local tour operator was accommodating, even helping us to celebrate a birthday mid-trek. The guide, Lale, was experienced and friendly. He made the trip hassle-free so that we could focus on taking in the views and meeting the friendly locals. Evidence of the earthquake could be seen, but we felt safe for the whole trek.

Mera Peak Climbing in December of 2016 had very good weather and remote for that time of year. We had at least 90% of our lodging to ourselves and met very few people on the trail. I recommend going during the Nov/Dec time since peak time is Sept/Oct and, per my guide, it was overcrowded during that time. Beautiful views of Everest range from the South for at least 3-4 days.

My tour company hooked me up with a great guide, with whom I had the pleasure to do the Three Passes trek for 17 days. We ended up doing it a little bit faster, this is the benefit if you can decide upon the itinerary day to day.
The guide was knowledgable, warm, funny, proficient in English and just allround helpful and supportive.
As for the trek, well I can let the pictures you can find on internet speak for itself. If you are fit enough I cannot recommend this highly enough over 'just' Basecamp; the passes really stand on their own in terms of experience.

My boyfriend and I booked the 17 day 3 high passes and Everest Base Camp Trek. I booked with this company as the price was very good but also the owner Raj, was excellent at getting back to me to answer any questions I had before making the booking. This level of service continued in the run up to our arrival in Nepal and it was great to know that Raj was at the end of an email or whatsapp message for any questions we had.
As part of the trek the company also picked us up from the airport in Kathmandu and took us to our hostel. This is a vital service as Kathmandu airport is crazy busy.
We had a few days in Thamel before our trek and Raj was always on hand to help, answer questions and give us recommendations for additional equipment to buy and how much it should cost.
The trek itself was breath taking (and HARD). The porters were absolutely brilliant and great fun to play cards with in the evening. Our guide did a good job and had a good sense of humour. Unfortunately though after 9 days I got very sick and our trek was cut short but I did manage to trek the highest pass and made it to EBC.
(TRAVELLER TIP: as soon as you start to feel unwell be sure to tell your guide you need a rest day. I didnt do this and just kept pushing myself each day and in the end made myself very ill.)
If like me you do fall ill then the aftercare I received from the tour company and Raj was outstanding. Raj was already at the hospital when I arrived to make sure I was okay and he visited everyday. When I was due to leave hospital he came to pick me and my boyfriend up and take us to our hotel.
Once I had recovered, as our trek had been cut short, he also helped to arrange the bus so we could visit another part of Nepal. On return to Kathmandu, Raj had followed up at the hospital for me and collected all the paperwork. If all that wasnt enough, he also arranged an evening meal with the rest of the trekking group when they returned from the trek so we could catch up with them and say our farewells..AND took us back to the airport when it was time to leave.
The care and consideration shown by Raj and his company really was more than I could have asked for, Raj did a brilliant job when was I ill and he continued the service until I left Nepal . I would happily use them again for any treks or tour in Nepal and cant thank Raj enough for the amazing after he provided.

The Manaslu Circuit Trek was extremely pleasing from a number of different point-of-views. Firstly, it still an original track predominantly used by locals and mules - only on the last day when we joined the Annapurna circuit were we faced with road traffic and dust. The scenery was breathtaking, the catering by the lodges excellent and the track suitably difficult with some easy patches. I am glad that I took so many photos so I can relive the experience.

I went to Nepal with my girlfriend this September. We didn't know about a lot of things as neither of us had been to Nepal before and we hadn't been properly hiking either and it was very difficult to know what to choose and plan. So we were very lucky to find this local tour operator! Right from the start Khum, the director, was very friendly, informative, quick to reply and made everything so easy. He gave us a detailed itinerary, responded to numerous questions with all the information we needed and changed the itinerary according to our specific needs. He arranged everything we needed such as travel to and from the airport, an internal flight, meeting our guide before and discussing everything with us, as well as helping us with various other smaller things.About the trek itself... We decided to do the Poonhill Trek as we read that this is relatively one of the easiest treks and not too long so we could comfortably fit it into our holiday, but still with a lot to see and do. It was absolutely amazing with some of the most breathtaking scenery I've ever seen! Everything on the itinerary was really well thought out, the accommodation and food was really nice, and we enjoyed every moment. I'd really like to say a special thanks to Venn Dong our guide, who I'd highly recommend to anyone travelling to Nepal and Darma, our porter. They both did an excellent job and were always friendly and helpful throughout the trip, as well as teaching us about Nepal and different things we were curious about.Now that I've had my first experience of Nepal I'm planning to go back a lot in the future and I'll definitely be using this operator and Venn's services again!

An unforgetable trek I had the chance to experience !
I did it from sept 15th to sept 27th and it was a pretty good period to, as the rainy season was almost over (it was raining a little during the evening and night and we only experienced daily rain one day for one hour, during the whole trekking !).
And the trekking track was not busy at all, as it was not high season yet ; less people in lodges too....if you're looking for quietness, it's probably one of the best period.
This trek can be done on your own, if you are sporty and have already some mountain experience, a map and a partner.
But taking a guide will provide you an unforgetable experience, as a local trekking guide will give you explanations about the mountains, flora and fauna and can translate your questions or anything you would like to ask to local people...it really makes a huge difference !
And my guide was really a very special one ; he's officially licensed by the Nepal government, has 10 years experience guiding, is fluent in english and is really caring about his clients, wondering all the time about your feelings, needs, expectations, etc...
