Breathtaking, well organised, the best guide.

The Annapurna circuit trek was incredible. Our guide Raju (pics attached) made it so special- he was the best guide ever. Nima our porter was also excellent, very kind always putting us first. We felt very well looked after. A couple of days in I fell ill, but Raju put my needs at the forefront. He made sure I was safe at all times, constantly checking my oxygen levels and breathing, I felt very safe. In his supply’s he had some medication which cleared the illness. If it wasn’t for Raju’s preparation I don’t think I would have been able to finish the trek- I am so grateful The views and trekking routes were spot on. Raju was very knowledgable telling us about the mountains but also giving us space to walk together- he had the perfect balance. The guest houses were excellent, much better than I had expected with a private room at all of the locations. Excellent food options too, 3 large meals a day, we weren’t going to go hungry! Everything you need is included. Breathtaking, well organised, the best guide. Nepal is an incredible country. A trip of a lifetime. Thank you Raju, Nima. I highly recommend this trip. We were only 4 explorers, and we had an amazing time with our lovely guide and driver. The country is so green and beautiful . I was pleasantly surprised about the quality of accommodation and food. I would highly recommend this trip.

This was a interesting trip to a fascinating place. The flight from Nepal to Paro passing Everest and through the tree covered valleys set the scene for a week in a stunningly beautiful country where the air is clean and the people welcoming. The trip was well paced and most of the hotels were of a very good standard. We could not have been in better or safer hands than with our excellent guide Sanom and driver the Captain. The walk towards the Tigers Nest is doable if you are reasonably fit and take your time, although the altitude adds an extra challenge. And with rain setting in I found the descent more difficult and could not have been more grateful for our guide assisting all the way. The final two days in Kathmandu were a good taster for a very different but equally interesting country. I very much appreciated the knowledge and passion for their country of the local guides we had.

The trip overall was incredible! Every aspect was planned out and coordinated, and as a trip manager was incredible. Very good balance of fun and informative, whilst also staying on top of it the entire time. China is such a beautiful country, and everyone should go and explore it if they ever get the chance. Highly recommended!!

Amazing company and trek to Poon Hill, ABC, and Mardi Himal

First time in Nepal, and I quickly found that Nepalese people are wonderful, warm and welcoming, have incredible food and amazing mountains. Bal, my guide, and Nima, my porter, were wonderful throughout my solo 12 days hike to Poon Hill, ABC, and Mardi Himal. They both took great care of me, were always ahead on what was upcoming on our itinerary, and booked places that had excellent hospitality, food, and rooms. I had an amazing time with them and highly recommend them!!

Kathmandu - Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

Tour Highlights

  • Located on the Bagmati River, some 5 km south-east of the city center, Pashupatinath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to God Shiva. It is one of the holiest sights in the entire country and attracts many pilgrims from South Asia especially during Shivaratri, an annual Hindu festival that celebrates Shiva.
  • Kathmandu Durbar Square is the heart of the Nepalese capital. This colorful plaza is home to several significant sights, including the Living Goddess Kumari House, Taleju Temple and Bhairab Temple. The Durbar Square suffered massively during the April 2015 earthquake and is currently undergoing renovation.
  • Boudhanath Stupa lies 5 km north of Kathmandu city center. The massive 5th Century Stupa is one of the most important pilgrimage sites for both Hindus and Buddhists in Nepal.
  • Swayambhunath Stupa is another majestic sacred structure which overlooks the city from a tall hilltop. At the so-called site of “Sublime Trees”, you will find lush vegetation and an intriguing blend of Buddhist and Hindu imagery.

Travel Tips

  • Air in Kathmandu is notoriously dry, dusty and polluted, especially during the dry season (October to May). If you find yourself experiencing respiratory difficulties, make sure to wear a face mask whenever you go outside.
  • Other than getting around on foot, the most convenient methods of transport in Kathmandu are rickshaws and taxis. Most tourist areas are serviced by rickshaws, while taxis are found all across the city. Don't be shy to haggle with the cab drivers.
  • In order to avoid water borne diseases, it is advised not to drink tap water while in Kathmandu. Make sure to always equip yourself with plenty of water bottles, especially if you plan on spending prolonged periods of time trekking or sightseeing. It’s also best to avoid consuming ice, salads and pre-cut fruit in restaurants.
  • If you are in Kathmandu for a short time, do consider going for short hikes around Nagarkot and Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park areas.

Nepal has seasonal weather so please do check up on the best time to visit Nepal before planning your tour. If you’re still hunting for more things to do and places to explore in Nepal, do check out our Nepal Travel Guide for more information.
