The whole experience was spectacular! Seeing the glaciers, the magnificent waterfalls, the volcanic landscapes, swimming in the hot springs, the variety of food at our breakfast and dinners. Getting to know people from different places and countries was amazing! Made many new friends. Since we didn't go in November, we didn't get to see the puffins but the black beach and the diamond beach were unbelievable, something I will never forget! The tour guide and the driver had so much experience in the Iceland area that there was nothing that we did not know. We pretty much stayed in the south end of Iceland and saw many waterfalls some frozen and some just magnificent! I would love to go back and see more of Iceland when the puffins are there and when daylight is more than 6 hours long. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget. A wonderful long weekend. The hotels were good with clean rooms, nice beds and great breakfasts. The staff at the hotels were lovely. Our tour guide was amazing, very interesting and informative. He also had a great sense of humour. I enjoyed getting a natives insight into living in such a wonderful place. He judged the characters on the tour well and moved the tour along at a pace that suited us all. We were very lucky that all our fellow explorers were delightful.
