Itinerary

If you’re looking to experience Iceland’s greatest hits in just a few days, the "Geysers, Glaciers, & Golden Circle - 3 days" tour delivers. Perfect for experienced travelers and seniors, this easy-paced group trip whisks you from Reykjavik to the famed Golden Circle—see Gullfoss’s thundering falls, Strokkur’s erupting geyser, and Thingvellir’s tectonic wonders. Hike Vatnajokull Glacier in winter or explore an ice cave during summer, and keep your eyes peeled for the Northern Lights when the season allows. The USP? A curated sightseeing adventure that covers Iceland’s most iconic natural landmarks with comfort and efficiency, making it ideal for those with limited time but unlimited curiosity.

day 1The Golden Circle

Reykjavik - Kirkjubajarklaustur. Our Icelandic adventure begins as we depart Reykjavik. You will be picked up at a central pick up point at 09:00. Our adventure begins with sightseeing of all the main natural wonders of the Golden Circle. Take in sights including Thingvellir National Park and the Geysir Geothermal Area, where you'll see the mighty Strokkur geyser erupt every 10 minutes or so.

We also visit the famous waterfalls of Gullfoss and Seljalandsfoss, with the opportunity to walk behind the falls for a different view! Then it's on to Vik and our hotel in Kirkjubajarklaustur, a great base for spotting the Northern Lights in the winter months from September to April.
Please note: We strongly recommend arriving in Reykjavik the day before your tour starts. Please also note that this tour includes a moderate amount of hiking to see attractions such as waterfalls. You should be comfortable hiking a distance of around 5km. Get in touch with our team should you have any concerns.

Guillia put a great self-drive tour together for us and Susana looked after us as we travelled. (Even when we got lost) The car and accommodation was good and the guides patient and informative. Only issue we had was parking in small villages, garages, and cities. Apart from the parking we had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday, thank you.
