Reviews of our Iceland Tours for Spring
Feedback from guests who toured Iceland during Spring.
It would have been nice to have a hotel more centrally located in Borgames. The Hotel Hamar Borgames was nice but extremely isolated. There was nothing to do. Other hotels were centrally located and there were retail and grocery stores nearby.
The sheer raw beauty of Iceland is trully amazing! Iceland is indeed a land of FIRE & ICE —-also waterfalls, and greenhouses but a fair warning that you must pay the costly price to enjoy it —-for me its worth it !!!
Our tour of Iceland was excellent overall. The itinerary was fast-paced and covered a dozen or so iconic Icelandic attractions. The “Be My Guest” evening was the only disappointment of the trip. While the meal and restaurant were top notch, the host and musical entertainment was a bizarre combination of semi-coherent, rambling storytelling and poorly-performed acoustic renditions of original songs by the host’s spouse. All-in-all a night I would have gladly skipped given the choice.
Iceland is magic,other-worldly. Don’t miss the Blue Lagoon!!! Tour is well-organized. Easy direct flight from Pittsburgh—forget about early check-in to hotel. Confusion both ways with airport transfers. Three hotels-all clean. Would have liked hotel in Reykjavik to be more central to the shopping district. Hotel Personnel helpful. Breakfasts elaborate and included. Food on our own was very expensive. Tour stops very interesting with opportunities to get off the bus and explore. Would have liked longer times to hike a bit. Driver careful. Tour director formal and informative.
Magical - you get to see so much and get so much more insight into a place when you have a local guide. I could never have come up with such a great trip on my own. Plus, all the hassle is removed…all you have to do is wake up, eat breakfast, and you’re on your way to something awesome!
I am absolutely blessed to have seen so much of the beautiful country and culture in such a short time. I will look to book another tour in the near future. Hederis and Iceland set the bar extremely high!
