Iceland Tour Reviews
Honest insights from past guests on our 9-Day Iceland tours
The VOK Baths were the only disappointment. I felt they were unsafe and unclean. The bottom of the pools & in pool bench surfaces were slimy making them slippery and unpleasant. The indoor floors were quite slippery as well.. There were no attendants once inside to assist with questions or directions. I felt the entire bath experience was a safety liability. On the other hand: The SKY LAGOON experience was First Class!
The Iceland tour was an amazing unforgettable experience. We had excellent luck with weather, seeing puffins and northern lights and the most fun I have ever had with a G Adventure tour. That was due to Kacper and a wonderful group of travellers as well as sights and experiences.
A thoroughly enjoyable tour of this majestic island. Our first day out took us to some of the tourist hotspots – the huge Gullfoss waterfall, geysers, the growing fault line between the North American and Eurasian continental plates and the site of their 1100-year-old parliament. Thereafter our 1000-mile journey around the island was largely free of other tourists (it was February). The snow conditions were good (it covered the island, but wasn’t too deep for walking), with little rain (probably lucky for the time of year). Our only challenge was the wind, which did curtail our itinerary when we got to the west of the island.
This 11-day trip to Iceland perfectly captured all the natural wonders of the country. I am so glad I went with CharlieTheTraveler, as they were organized and planned a variety of activities for this trip. I appreciated that the company focused the trip on all the natural beauty of the country.
Great tour guide but some logistics were not cared for by G. Singles traveling and being paired up should not have to share a king bed, the OMG hotel should have something remarkable about it other than lacking hot water in all of the rooms, dietary restrictions should be communicated to all included restaurants.
I had researched about Iceland and the places to be visited but had not anticipated the scale of the island and the grandeur of the scenery. The weather was not as rainy as was forecast but it was windier than I expected, the weather suited the landscape and the experiences on the trip. Our guide was excellent - full of information and stories - never a dull moment.
