Iceland Hot springs Tour Reviews

Honest insights from past guests on our Hot springs Iceland tours

The trip was amazing, especially the Blue Lagoon. Personally, I did not enjoy the Be My Guest experience (neither the performers nor the food), but I appreciate the intent. My travel director and bus driver were excellent. I also would have preferred more lunch options.

loved the itinerary however, the natural hot springs would be more enjoyable. The blue lagoon was too crowded and felt like cattle going into the showers and locker room.

Being my 2nd trip to Iceland, I was still awestruck by the beauty. Sharing my love of Iceland wit h my best friend was amazing. We both enjoyed this tour. was a great tour guide and having a geology background, gave us a more detailed history of the formation of Iceland. Seeing the Puffins on/around the island of Akurey was too cute. Seeing the fresh lava around the Blue Lagoon and hotel broke my heart ❤️. This is the hotel I stayed at in 2019. The Geothermal Exibition was very interesting and informative. Reykjavik is a beautiful city with a lot of places to see and things to do. Never a dull moment!

This was my first Trafalgar tour. I think the itinerary was planned well and the tour director was phenomenal in his explanation of the sites and his stories about the legends of Iceland.

The views were amazing, from seeing beautiful waterfalls, a glacier, lava fields, a geyser and even puffins! It’s such a unique country, and this was a well planned trip, led by a very experienced and professional tour director.

Jeffrey P. | Traveled in May

Our tour of Iceland was excellent overall. The itinerary was fast-paced and covered a dozen or so iconic Icelandic attractions. The “Be My Guest” evening was the only disappointment of the trip. While the meal and restaurant were top notch, the host and musical entertainment was a bizarre combination of semi-coherent, rambling storytelling and poorly-performed acoustic renditions of original songs by the host’s spouse. All-in-all a night I would have gladly skipped given the choice.

Tips for Iceland Hot Springs Tour

  • Research the Iceland hot springs beforehand, as some may charge entrance and changing room fees.
  • Embrace Icelandic culture by following showering etiquette. Before entering any pool or hot tub, pass through the shower area without wearing anything.
  • It is mandatory to wear a swimsuit while taking a dip in the hot springs of Iceland. However, women can take their swimsuit tops off once they are inside the pool. Just put it back on when you are getting out of the pool.
  • Most of the popular thermal baths, including the Blue Lagoon, require pre-booking. Do not expect to get in impromptu.
  • Protect your hair from the silica-rich waters in places like the Blue Lagoon or Myvatn Nature Baths by thoroughly conditioning it before and after bathing. Be sure to put some silica mud on your face to make your skin feel softer with its rejuvenating properties.
