The route of this tour, a full circuit of Iceland via the ring road over eight days, enabled us to see and visit the most awe-inspiring landscape I've ever seen. The mountain ranges, escarpments, columnar cliff faces, glaciers, glacial icebergs, massive moss-covered lava fields, rivers, water falls, lakes, beaches, a geyser, humpback whales, seals, a variety of birdlife, Icelandic horses - all these were unforgettable. Iceland is extraordinary. The landscape is very different to other countries and is well worth exploring. Our tour leader was outstanding. Full of information about the history of Iceland, the geology of the country and also its tales and legends. The weather is variable, but that is typical of Iceland, so be prepared.
