Iceland Tours in Summer

Appreciate all the work booking the experience and various tours over the past 9 days. Also a big thank you to Mae who was very helpful and accommodating as we changed some plans along the way. We would love to come back and experience Iceland again in the summer months in future.

This tour of Iceland was excellent and covered so much of Iceland - thunderous waterfalls, glaciers, lava fields, coastline, icebergs, geysers, thermal pools, beautiful farmlands and towns. Our tour leader, Dorothea, worked tirelessly to ensure we had the best experience possible including telling us about the history, legends and beliefs of Iceland and Icelanders.

It’s my 3rd time doing this holiday and I truly love it. This was the best itinerary (time at locations and reduced time on the bus compared to last year) and it’s the most beautiful country I’ve ever seen. A very relaxing experience, lots is packed into the trip.

Such an impossible island, fierce, reserved, constantly restless beneath it’s surface … days of fire, klms of lava fields, raw, hissing in parts, covered in green moss in others, a national treasure … we hike a volcano and test hearts, lungs, backs, knees and toes, and brace .. and learn what it means to be blown off mountain tops … fabulous soaks in hot springs … we travel north for waterfalls and luck in with meeting minke and humpback whales as we cruise on a fjord which meets the sea .. a day of ice as we travel across the island to the south east … an abundance of Icelands 5000 waterfalls … spectacular autumn color on the rocky outposts close to the sea … next climb is a glacier hike … we don crampons, helmets and ice picks (a first!) and traverse a tiny fragment of the 9pc total that still defines this spectacular island … take time at Mitford for a 4 wheel adventure across volcanic territory and hike up a canyon at the foot of an impossibly named volcano which blew up 2010 (along with European plane travel!). And a terrific highlight as we watch an arctic fox meander across the tundra. Well done to Charlie and team and a big thank you to Mae our local concierge.

The tour was amazing! Our tour company, guide and bus driver did a great job. We got to see amazing natural sights in Iceland, check out the city, participate in thermal features and see the northern lights!

My favorite memory of this trip was our entire family together in Iceland. We had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed all the sights and people we met.
