Honest insights from past guests on our Cultural, religious historic sites Peru tours
The itinerary is jam-packed with mostly early mornings, but each was worth it. I felt it was a good mix of experiencing Lima and Cusco. Eat ceviche, drink pisco, buy an alpaca scarf.
Itinerary was packed with adventure and history. Tour guides and drivers were wonderful! Don’t sleep on the minor historical ruins - there’s lots to see outside of Nazca and Machu Picchu. A great way to check this off the bucket list!
This trip was amazing, and covered so much ground in a short amount of time. From sand buggying in Huacachina, a boat ride in Paracas, seeing the Nazca lines, and finally seeing Machu Picchu…. nothing short of spectacular. It was very fast paced, which was a struggle some days - especially because of the altitude changes. But definitely worth it!
The itinerary was very good and included a lot of different and interesting locations concerning Inca history. The route was well thought out with time to acclimatise to the altitude at Araquipa, befor continuing ro the higher levels of Colca Valley , Puna and Lake Titicacca. We felt the impact of the altirude on some of the walks, but the guides were careful to make rwgular stops and take a pace that suited all the group. Hotels and food was excellent throughout the trip. This was definitely a moderate to high paced trip , with early starts to see many places, although the benefit was often an early night! I would definitely recommend this tripto those who are moderately fit ( walking) and like exploring .
The outstanding aspect of this wonderful hike was the planning of the campsites. We stayed largely in smaller campsites out of phase with the 200 other hikers joining the trail every day so one would not have known there were so many people on it. The exception was the final campsite which was unmissable given its views over the Andes and clouds. The other advantage compared with the average tourist is the walk down into Macchu Pinchu, I had previously visited there on a tour and the experience was infinitely better this way.
This was an incredible trip and I highly recommend it to anyone. Shout out to our guide, Arturo, who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible trip. My particular highlights were Lake Titikaka and the Inca Trail. The itinerary was perfectly crafted - with the first week a bit slower to allow us to get to used to the altitude, and the second week the walking ramped up with the Inca Trail. It was the perfect itinerary that went at a good pace and allowed us to see lots of Peru in two weeks. Thank you!
