Peru Train Tour Reviews
Honest insights from past guests on our Train Peru tours
Wonderful itinerary. Guides were knowledgeable and patient. Machu Picchu Hotel was very loud with trains, parties and fumes from the trains. Galapagos was one surprise after another. The final hacienda hotel in Quito was breathtaking. By far my favorite accommodation. Great trip.
Peru - a beautiful country. Inca ruins, salt plains, an unforgetable boarding the train and Machu Picchu. Cuzco has so much to offer. Guide was fantastic amd passionate about his country Ecuador has stunning cathedrals and beautiful scenary. Galapagos islands were incredible. So much wildlife seen and lovely to see the conservation efforts for tortoises and other species. Was also amazing to see the Blue footed boobies doing their mating rituals and the frigate birds nesting. Completely unforgettable full on trip
An excellent tour with a fabulous group of fellow explorers who were great company, punctual and positive. Without doubt our tour leader Arturo went above and beyond to make this a lovely experience and shared his knowledge and passion for this beautiful country. Many highlights including our visit to Machu Picchu, which being later in the afternoon allowed us to experience the site at our leisure and without the crowds. Would absolutely recommend this tour.
Accommodation: the hotels were good. A couple were off by themselves, but I assume that was because of their locations. Itinerary: Several things we did were things we wouldn't have known about if we had arranged the trip ourselves. They were both quite good at getting at Peruvian culture. Arturo was a great leader. He helped on our "free" days, getting us transportation and actings as a guide. The group was quite close, closer than I've ever seen on a trip. On the last night there was a lot of hugging. Our Whatsapp channel has continued to be updated, several days after finishing.
Great trip, very full on. It could be described as the trip of a lifetime. Any issues were dealt with by our attentive tour leaders promptly. Local guides were knowledgeable. The only advice I would offer future travellers is if possible get to Cusco a few days prior to acclimatise yourself to the altitude.
An epic trip, so much packed in. Erickson our tour leader is an exceptional guide and a lovely person and he did everything he could to make our trip the best possible experience. We were so lucky to have a trip led by him and we are very grateful for all the extras, time and care he took to make the trip so special. I would recommend Explore wholeheartedly, don’t hesitate, Peru is a wonderful country.
