Our tour was enjoyable however at times there was too much “free time” which could have been directed to better organised specialty tours of local attractions and interests, utilising local guides who have a deep knowledge of their home industries, rather than putting this responsibility on the Tiur Leader. Nonetheless it remains a good trip and I’d recommend you take the tour.
Fab tour Great guide Super driver Ticks lots of boxes on a relaxed civilised way
Loved this tour. Had a great knowledgeable tour guide and learnt and saw so much. Great having 3 nights in Annecy and plenty of time to explore on our own.
Tour was amazing. Excellent guide and driver. Enjoyed it thoroughly

Hate doing reviews - does anyone read them? Like the tour, only criticism was that would prefer earlier arrival at hotel at day's end. France was having its usual heat wave, making even sitting in air-conditioning exhausting! An earlier start would also be preferred but understand most people like to start at 9.00
Apart from the first evening in a hotel with no functioning air con and temps of plus 30 which was a poor start, the tour was otherwise very well organised with terrific destinations and a good amount of free to organised time. Our tour guide Eva was lovely and accommodated us well. And Alec was a very good and safe driver and our van modern and delightfully air conditioned. The group was mainly delightful company. My only concern related to two passengers, husband and wife, who constantly coughed and hacked their way on the bus and at meals throughout the entire tour. The coughing only abated in the final couple of days. Apart from being desperately unpleasant for the rest of us, it was a small miracle that none of us fell ill. In my opinion there should be a Blue-Roads policy that sick passengers are not permitted to travel on the tour and risk the heath of the group who naturally have ongoing travel plans. We should have to sign up to leaving the tour and make our own return travel plans with your assistance if we are clearly and visibly unwell.
Awesome tour & awesome Guide just an awesome experience all round and we will definitely recommend Blue-Roads tours to all our friends
Highly recommend this tour. Every day there was something new & exciting with many WOW factors along the way. The smaller group size was initially why we booked. The beauty of having a smaller bus was evident as we did go back roads. The places we stayed were lovely (except Paris), the food & experiences were wonderful, we enjoyed the free & the 9am starts. Our guide was so knowledgeable & always very helpful, Alan is a credit to the company. You won’t regret booking & you’ll have a fun time. I wish I could do it all over again 😀 I haven’t added photos cause I have too many favourites
From the very first day our guide Alan translated Fench to English for us and made sure we enjoyed and learnt the most we could during our time touring the Champagne, Burgundy and Provence regions. Beaune and Annecy were standout stops. With many history and culinary facts Alan helped us understand life whilst we travelled these regions of France we wouldn't be able to find on our own. The tour itself went through varied rural and beautiful landscapes, visiting quaint villages and cathedrals, all very picturesque and memorable. Loved it all.
