After meeting our fellow travellers at our hotel, we’ll get to know one another over a sumptuous welcome dinner at a local restaurant. This tour had so many highlights! The visit to Giverny and Monet's gardens was exceptional, as was Honfleur and the landing beaches. Mostly the hotels were very good, except for the one in Paris, which was disappointing. Our tour leader Christian and our driver Mihai were both excellent and really enhanced the whole trip.
Truda, our tour director was the best! All our stops, major ones and minor ones, were beautiful and interesting. The included meals were all delicious, the accommodations were mostly fine. The hotel in Paris I would not recommend. Our driver was great! Having 13 in the group was a plus. We all bonded nicely. It was one of my favorite trips.
We loved this tour although the Paris accommodation was not up to standard. Back roads should consider higher standard hotels in that city. The locations we visited were of historical significance which was our reason for buying this tour. The tour leader & driver were both excellent.
