Lemosho is our personal first favorite! It is widely considered to be the most picturesque route on Kilimanjaro, and we hold the same opinion. The trek starts from the heath and moorland at 3,400 m, passes through alpine meadow, and finishes in the Arctic zone with the Peak Uhuru. High-altitude drop-off makes the climb less steep and, therefore, less physically challenging. Two very short treks on Day 1 and Day 2 involve little physical activity and you barely trek uphill, which means you need less oxygen and your body can spare resources.
Success rates on 7-day Lemosho are 94-95%.

The Lemosho route on Mount Kilimanjaro goes parallel to the lower part of the Shira Route. The trail on the Lemosho Route is unspoiled, secluded and a very beautiful way up to the Shira Plateau. Above the plateau, you approach Kilimanjaro's great western Breach, then follow the south circuit to reach the easier Barafu Route. This is one of the few routes where an armed ranger will accompany us as there are still animals in the forest around the Lemosho Glades.
The Lemosho route will take 9 days in total. The route is the most scenic on the lower part as it goes directly through a rainforest area with wildlife. Later on, this route merges with the popular Machame route.
You can bring around 15 kgs of luggage for the trip. The porters will carry most of the 15 kgs, and you will yourself carry a small day-pack. As soon as you book with us, we will brief you further on luggage and trekking clothes.

I recently had a trip on 10th September, 2025 and was one of the most attractive and lovely trip I had ever since, because they are well-organized with well trained, punctual and knowledgeable tour guides. I booked a 4-day travel package to the coastal region through their office and from the beginning everything was handled professionally and friendly. The company arranged my transportation, accommodation and my all daily activities, making my trip more interesting and enjoyable. The journey began early in the morning, with a comfortable tour Bus that was neat, air-conditioned and well-maintained and serviced. Along the way the tour guide shared many interesting facts about the different places we went through, which made the long trip more enjoyable and unforgettable. When we arrived at our destination, the company had already reserved our hotel rooms and check-in was quick and easy. Each day of the trip had a well-planned travel plan. We visited popular tourist attractions, including historical sites, beaches, and local markets that were available there. One of the favorite moments was the visit to a marine park, where we took a boat ride and saw dolphins, shark, Star fish. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, he was making sure always everyone was comfortable and having a good time on the trip. The company also included group activities for example evening beach walks, cultural dances, and traditional dinners, which made experience even more memorable and unforgettable. I was really impressed by how organized everything was because transportation was always on time, meals were delicious and safety measures were strictly followed. An amazing adventure to the top of Africa on a much less crowded route than Lemosho. This was my first high altitude experience, and the professionalism of the leader and the assistant guides in making sure that the group were well looked after was second to none.
