This 3-Day Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech To Erg Chigaga is the perfect tour for travelers short on time but who want a unique and comprehensive desert experience. Get deep into the dunes and escape from modern civilization!
The trip starts with a pick-up from your hotel or Riad in Marrakech at 8:00 am to head south for the magnificent High Atlas Mountains. You cross the Tizin-Tichka pass, (2660m) the highest pass in North Africa. You will be amazed by the panoramas and will want to take memorable photos. Simply tell your driver where you want to stop.
Along the way, you will visit the former presidential palace, Kasbah Telouet, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. These are the two most famous kasbahs in Morocco and are an essential part of any desert tour. Thanks to the tour operator flexibility, we actually did a 12-day tour of Kenya and Tanzania and it was fabulous. Our two guides, Brian and Elly, were fun, friendly, flexible and knowledgeable. We shared a lot of laughs and developed a strong bond in our short time together, and we saw every animal we'd hoped to see (plus some) thanks to them. Customer service was excellent. They responded to emails in a timely manner, changed the schedule around a bit so that we could fly into and out of Nairobi, booked a hotel for the night we arrived without even being asked, and upgraded our accommodations.

Armond was an amazing leader, with local knowledge a good sense of how to engage us all in what was happening, and life in general in Madagascar. We learned so much. The local tour guides at each national park were super helpful and gave us that individual attention to be able to find the amazing animals. Michele our bus driver was incredible - how we didn't feel bounced around on those super rough roads was testament to his skill. Being an active tour was really good - not so long in the bus each day and a chance to get a walk in really made a difference. The challenge of the 4-day hike up a mountain was memorable and felt like a real achievement.
