Africa Camping Trips

My experience was unforgettable and I made memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. To step away from my part of the world and immerse myself in the African bush, cooking dinner, sitting around the fire, camping, sharing stories, and observing the wildlife was recharging, healing, and most of all- transformative. I truly enjoyed my time in Africa and am already looking forward to when I can go back.

This was a trip of a lifetime for me. I've always dreamed of going on an African safari and this more than exceeded my expectations. Everyone from G Adventures was professional and very friendly and knowledgable. I feel like all of these people are family now. It was that comfortable of an experience with them all. I highly recommend G Adventures to anyone looking to travel and I'm already thinking about my next G Adventures trip.

Absolutely amazing experience!! The itinerary is perfect for someone wanting to see all the incredible diversities Africa has to offer. Would highly recommend this itinerary to first or returning travellers to Africa!

Armond was an amazing leader, with local knowledge a good sense of how to engage us all in what was happening, and life in general in Madagascar. We learned so much. The local tour guides at each national park were super helpful and gave us that individual attention to be able to find the amazing animals. Michele our bus driver was incredible - how we didn't feel bounced around on those super rough roads was testament to his skill. Being an active tour was really good - not so long in the bus each day and a chance to get a walk in really made a difference. The challenge of the 4-day hike up a mountain was memorable and felt like a real achievement.

An excellent trip that I highly recommend, giving the opportunity to see some unique lemurs, reptiles and insects up close and walk and camp in remote unspoiled areas. Every day brought something different and surprising experiences that felt authentic and non-touristy. Aside from the wildlife spotting, there are lots of highlights for me including walking in an area nicknamed the 'small grand canyon', being amazed by ancient baobab trees in the spiky forest, visiting a village market (a popular meeting place for brightly dressed locals) and a bustling zebu cattle market. There were some long journeys at times but this was necessary in order to see the wide-ranging landscapes and wildlife. With scenery that went from paddy fields, to rain forests to rocky mountain terrain and dry sandy terrain and coastlines, the views outside the minibus and 4x4s were never dull. Being led by a brilliant local leader who was so knowledgeable and willing to help whenever needed, the holiday was really enjoyable.

Absolutely incredible 3-day journey from Marrakech to Fes! Our guide and driver, Hakim, was the absolute BEST—so knowledgeable, friendly, and made every moment special. From exploring the Atlas Mountains and ancient kasbahs to the unforgettable night under the stars in the Sahara, every detail was perfect. Hakim, made sure we were comfortable and shared fascinating stories about the places we visited. Watching the sunrise in the Merzouga dunes and visiting beautiful Berber villages along the way were highlights. Highly recommend this tour and especially Khalil for an authentic Moroccan adventure!
