A great mix of busy, bustling Marakech and remote mountain village life in Morocco. The village is completely off the beaten track. I believe there was one car in the village and lots of mules.The riad has incredible views, a great place to sit and relax. We arrived when the mountain villages had just received 50cm of fresh crisp snow. The area looked stunning, even if they were not the views we were expecting. The food at the riad was excellent. Similarly the hot picnics freshly cooked on the mountain side with wonderful locally produced ingredients were tasty examples of local Moroccan cuisine and were something I shall never forget. And I have developed a taste for Moroccan mint tea. Very tasty.

Kilimanjaro is an amazing experience and it'll be one that you'll remember for the rest of your life, regardless of whether you're travelling solo, with a friend or a partner, you'll be in a group of like minded people, not all from the UK, we was fortunate enough to have members from all over the world sharing their experiences and plans with us. This trip was far beyond any expectations that I had set myself, I loved every moment of it! The guides have a great sense of humor! you'll be quickly introduced to phrases such as "Pole Pole" (slowly slowly) as well greeting all the porters that pass you "Jambo!" (hello!).

From bustling cities to serene landscapes, every stop on our journey offered a deeper connection to the country and its people. One of the most rewarding aspects was the opportunity to truly immerse myself in the local culture—spending time with local families, learning about their traditions, and gaining insights into their way of life. The highlight of my trip was undoubtedly the medina in Fez. Wandering through its winding alleyways, surrounded by centuries-old craftsmanship, vibrant markets, and the hum of daily life, was like stepping into a living piece of history. Every turn revealed something new and awe-inspiring, making it an experience I’ll never forget. Morocco’s culinary scene was another standout, with flavors as rich and diverse as the country itself. From aromatic spices to slow-cooked perfection, every meal was a delight—but if I had to choose a favorite, it would be the goat tagine. The depth of flavor and tender texture made it an absolute must-try! This journey was more than just a trip; it was an adventure filled with connection, discovery, and unforgettable memories. I’m incredibly grateful for the experiences and the amazing people who made it so special.

I signed up for this tour to see all the things that I had only read about in history books. And it didn't disappoint. The tour starts with someone meeting you at the Cairo airport to help through customs. This makes it so easy. You get handed off a few times and end up at the hotel. There is security everywhere. I never felt unsafe during the entire tour. There are several add on tours you can do before or after the official tour. I did the Memphis a Dashur tour, which included two pyramids, and also did the Alexandria day trip. It's totally worth it to go into the pyramids. They are hot and stuffy and an uncomfortable hunkered over walk to get into but it's so worth it. You are going to be spending a lot of time traveling on a bus on rough roads so be ready for that. Some of the days start really early so you can get there before the crowds. This ended up being totally worth it nothing like having a whole temple to yourself. Be ready for very pushy salesfolks everywhere. Also have lots of small bills available for tipping and bathroom breaks, there's normally a fee for any bathroom use. And bring your own TP since there often isn't any. The guides know a lot. Our guide was Mina M. He answered all our questions and provided tons of information and kept everything going smoothly. He was more than wiling to accommodate requests. We had signed up for the felucca but discovered it was just sleeping in a group on the deck of the boat which is more adventure than we wanted. So he arranged for us to do the cruise but stay in the hotel that night which was fantastic. The highlight for me was the valley of the kings in Luxor and snorkeling in the Red Sea. I want to return to see more of both.
