Itinerary

Dreaming of reaching the top of Africa? The "Seven-Day Mount Kilimanjaro Climb: Lemosho Route" is your gateway to the continent’s highest peak, designed for experienced and senior trekkers seeking both challenge and scenery. Renowned for its high summit success rate and breathtaking vistas, the Lemosho Route provides a quieter, more immersive trekking experience.

Your journey starts at Londorossi Gate on Kilimanjaro’s western flank, winding through lush rainforest and up to the panoramic Shira Plateau. The final push to Uhuru Peak is a true test of endurance, rewarded by sunrise views from the roof of Africa.

After your descent via Mweka Hut, relax in Moshi with included accommodations before and after your trek. The unmatched USP of this trip is the balance of scenic diversity, lower crowds, and thoughtful pacing, making it one of the best ways to experience Kilimanjaro for first-time or seasoned trekkers alike.

This is more than a trek—it’s a journey through ever-changing ecosystems, guided by experts who ensure both your safety and enjoyment on this bucket-list adventure.

Dedicated team, high success probability 7day Lemosho

1) Airport pick up from Mount Kilimanjaro airport to moshi: excellent and on time. Eli is a safe driver. 2) 7day Lemosho route: guide, Good Luck, was professional and caring. Helped checked luggage pre-trek to ensure I have all equipment and clothing, potential risk assessment for the hike. Most importantly he helped me to reach the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro successfully despite being 4 hours later than everyone due to my slow speed. 3) Team: one guide, one chef, (Amos), one waiter (David). These were the main people who spoke to me. Great English. 4 porters who helped me as I was walking like a snail and had some slight toe injuries. Full team was very attentive to my needs and preferences of food, comfort level, questions about anything about Mount Kilimanjaro. Very friendly and patient crew.

Safe, Seamless and spectacular

I recently completed the 7-day Lemosho Route hike to Mount Kilimanjaro, and the experience far exceeded my expectations—especially in terms of safety, professionalism, and overall organization. From the moment we began the trek, the crew’s attention to safety was clear. Our guides were exceptionally well-trained and experienced, conducting daily health checks that included monitoring oxygen levels and asking detailed questions about how we felt. They were incredibly proactive in spotting early signs of altitude sickness and adjusted the pace and rest stops accordingly. This gave our entire group the confidence and peace of mind to fully enjoy the journey. The Lemosho Route itself is both beautiful and well-paced for acclimatization. We walked through rainforest, crossed high moorland, and trekked over alpine desert—each day offering a new challenge and new scenery. Thanks to the route’s gradual ascent and the crew’s careful pacing, everyone in our group adapted well and reached the summit successfully. The support team—porters, chef, and camp staff—also played a huge role in keeping us safe and comfortable. Camps were set up promptly and securely, meals were warm, nutritious, and catered to our energy needs, and clean drinking water was always provided. Hygiene at camp was clearly a priority, and handwashing stations and daily sanitization made a big difference. On summit night, the guides ensured we were fully prepared both mentally and physically. Their encouragement, constant monitoring, and careful pacing made a very difficult climb feel achievable and safe. If you’re looking to hike Kilimanjaro and safety is a top concern, I highly recommend the Lemosho Route—and even more so, doing it with a professional, experienced team that prioritizes your health every step of the way. It was not just a successful summit, but a safe and unforgettable journey to the Roof of Africa.

My whole experience was amazing

I recently had the incredible opportunity to trek Mount Kilimanjaro with this tour operator, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. Here's a breakdown of the key aspects that made this adventure so amazing: Gears provided were top-notch! The tents, sleeping bags, and other trekking equipment were in excellent condition. They made sure everything was well-fitted and comfortable, ensuring that we were fully prepared for the trek. I especially appreciated the attention to detail, as all equipment was thoroughly checked before the journey began. Food served was outstanding! Despite being in such remote conditions, the meals were always fresh, delicious, and nutritious. There was a good variety of meals to keep us energized throughout the trek. The crew also made sure to cater to our dietary preferences, which was greatly appreciated. Hot, flavorful meals after a long day of trekking were the highlight of each evening. Mountain crew, including porters and cooks, were absolutely fantastic. They were incredibly friendly, always ready with a smile, and worked tirelessly to ensure we had everything we needed. They were attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to make our trek comfortable. The crew's professionalism and dedication were truly exceptional, and they played a huge part in making this journey so enjoyable. Summit night was, without a doubt, the toughest part of the trek, but the guides were there every step of the way. Their encouragement, patience, and expertise helped us push through the extreme conditions. They kept us safe, motivated, and focused, and thanks to them, we all made it to the top. I can’t thank them enough for their support during that challenging night – it truly made all the difference. Overall, I highly recommend this company for anyone looking to summit Mount Kilimanjaro. From the excellent equipment to the exceptional service and support from the crew, every aspect of the experience was well-organized and truly professional. Smooth, Scenic, and Superbly Organized I joined a 6-Day Marangu Route hike with Kilisa Tours, and the whole experience was seamless. The accommodations in the mountain huts were cozy, and the support staff made sure we were always comfortable. Our guide shared fascinating stories about the mountain s history and wildlife. Everything ran perfectly on schedule, and the company s attention to detail was impressive. I ve done many treks before, but Kilisa Tours stands out for their genuine care and world-class service. Couldn t have asked for more!
