Croatia in January: Weather, Tips and More
January is the coldest month of the year to visit Croatia and you will get great bargains on hotels as it is a low tourist season. Does it snow in Croatia in winter? You bet it does! And the ski season is in full swing in January. Dig into the history of urban centers like Dubrovnik and Split, admire the stark beauty of frozen lakes at Plitvice Lakes National Park, and enjoy winter festivals and seasonal markets that spring up across the country during your stay in Croatia in January.

Croatia in February: Weather, Carnivals and More!
February is the last winter month in Croatia. The weather is still chilly, but the days are reasonably long. Being the off-tourist season, you will get great deals on hotels if you visit Croatia in February. Soak in the beautiful Adriatic views minus the tourist crowds, head to Platak for a thrilling ski adventure, enjoy the infectious energy of carnivals, and visit the lovely coastal town of Trogir, a Unesco World Heritage site. Croatia in winter makes for an excellent destination.
Croatia in March: Weather, Travel Tips & More!
Croatia in March: Weather, Travel Tips & More!
Thinking about visiting Croatia without spending a fortune? Then March is your best bet. Croatia in March is relatively free of crowds and as a result, hotel prices are also low. As the month is the bridge between winter and spring, many ferry routes and resorts are not open yet and the weather is not quite warm enough for sunbathing and sea-dipping. But because of these very factors, you can enjoy a relatively quiet and affordable vacation.

Croatia Tour Reviews

Honest insights from past guests on our Croatia tours

Joan B. | Traveled in November

The trip was well paced and most every activity was very interesting. I wish that the tips for the bus drivers and city tours was prepaid in the cost of the trip. It would be easier than having to come up with the $$ on the spot and would insure the tour guide of getting tipped properly. Ivan was terrific and were all of our city guides. In my opinion they really made the trip exceptional.

Very enjoyable and interesting tour. Highlights were the stays at Korcula and Trogir islands where we were able to really enjoy the old towns and seaside atmospheres, and escape the maddening crowds of Split and Dubrovnik. Kotor in Montenegro was also a fascinating place to stay for the 2 nights. The vineyards selected were wonderful experiences. Our tour guide, Justin, was amazing - professional, very knowledgeable, friendly and willing to assist all of his 'guests'.

I highly recommend this tour for older travelers or those who wish to have a well-paced, informative, and interesting trip to see some of the beautiful sites in Croatia. Justin Walley, the tour leader, was exceptionally good at providing a comprehensive commentary for each location, and he was very caring and responsive to the health, safety, and adventure needs of all group members. The pace of the tour and activities, and the location of the hotels were ideal. I loved seeing the beautiful scenery, and having time to explore, shop, and rest. The trip notes were informative to ensure people were aware of the potential accessibility issues associated with the accommodation and the activities. Our bus driver was safe and careful with his driving, which was very much appreciated.

I thoroughly enjoyed all activities experienced and the hotel accommodation was very good. Travel, activity and free times were nicely balanced.
