Croatia Tour Reviews
Honest insights from past guests on our 15-Day Croatia tours
This tour hits the highlights of Croatia. I would not recommend the excursion to Montenegro as the customs stop adds an hour and 1/2 to a long bus ride. Kotor in Montenegro is an interesting walled city. The tour guide and bus driver were top rate. They couldn’t have been better.
Beautiful country. Great way to see it by bus. Hvar and Dubrovnik are a sight to behold. Postojna Caves are awesome. They are the second largest in the world. Love the train ride into them. Zagreb has so many museums of all types. Loved going to the museum of Illusions by ourselves when we were there. Plitvice Lakes national park was an adventure to see how close you can come to the numerous waterfalls. Some much to see on this trip. Warning, a lot of walking but worth it. The hotels are first class with beautiful sunsets to see from them. You'll love the optional excursions as well.
As a repeated traveler with G Adventures company, I am sorry to say that this was not the best experience I had in my 2 weeks vacation due to above mentioned issues. The trip otherwise would have been fantastic as the sites are amazing and Sandre's knowledge and experience are remarkable.
A fantastic trip in the most beautiful country I've been. We covered a lot, learned a lot, and had time to relax in beautiful seaside resorts. The guide was superb.
This itinerary provides good exposure to most of the main spots in Croatia with a short dip into Slovenia. Having been to Croatia previously I appreciated getting to spend time on the islands of Hvar and Korcula and plenty of time to enjoy Dubrovnik at the end of the tour. I don't feel that enough time is spent in Zagreb but as the starting point it is easy to go a couple days before the tour starts which is what we did this time as well as on our prior trip. I would prefer that more time is spent in other parts of Pula instead of just the amphitheater (as impressive as it is). I was exrtremely disappointed with the visit to Plitvice National Park as this particular visit skipped out on the best part of the park's waterfalls by taking a shortcut so I am happy that i had been there before so I know what was missed. In Split I would highly recommend that Insight seek accommodations much closer to Diocletian's Palace because it is wonderful to visit at night and closer hotels would make it much easier to get there, even by walking. Despite some of these less than stellar segments, I have to give 5 stars because Croatia is simply wonderful!
I love these tours. I literally had some of the best days of my life these past two weeks. That being said, I am 37 now and this was my last 20s-30s tour. Any chance you can make 30s-40s tours?
