Great time, wonderful co-travellers and our guides were great. Some of the accommodations were not the best (no hot water) but other than that they were okay.
Our tour guide lives in and loves Croatia. This made for a very informative and personal type of tour. She spent much energy to ensure that everyone had a great time. I would be very pleased to have her again as a tour guide.
Loved Slovenia and Opatija accommodations. Zagreb, Split poorly located. Not enough time on the coast in general. Meals provided ranged from good to Just OK. Drivers exceptional! Airline arrangements left much to be desired. Only given 1 hr and 8 minutes to collect luggage and go thru customs in Brussels. Of course we missed the flight which left about the time we were able to wrangle our luggage. Rerouted to Frankfurt where we waited over 6 hrs for a flight to Zagreb. We arrived in the middle of the night. Difficult contacting Collette during off hours even the emergency line. Glad we added a day onto our trip. Wish we didn’t spend it at airports
Our tour guide was top notch - friendly, professional, helpful and very knowledgeable. He added many narratives about the history of both Slovenia and Croatia which to me was extremely educational and interesting. There were so many memorable parts of the trip that it’s hard to narrow it down. Our dinner up in the mountains at a family owned restaurant (which had been a barn and converted to a restaurant) was pretty special. One of their entrees included truffles in. Absolutely delicious! The food and wine was beyond delicious and the hospitality so very warm and friendly.
