Croatia Tours in May 2027

We had a great time on our tour. The boat we were on was a beautiful ship. The boat staff was wonderful and took good care of us. The bike tours were challenging and fun. We rented electric bikes and we were glad we did. The islands are very hilly and have some steep sections. Our tour guides were great as well. They kept our bikes charged and in good riding condition. They also provided insight into all the places we visited, making all of the islands more interesting and beautiful. I will be recommending this adventure to all our friends.

The tour was full of great stops, dining, history, etc. We were given an appropriate amount of time to ourselves. Our favorites destinations were Dubrovnik Old Town and the hotel in Dubrovnik, and the multi-course meals in the country. The breakfasts at the hotels were outstanding also. Our tour guide was exceptional!

We combined this tour with the Walks and Coastal Town of Croatia trip which contained walks in some of Croatia's beautiful National Parks and complemented the more relaxed pace of this trip. Split and Dubrovnik Old Towns were highlights but crowded, even early season in May. We preferred the Island of Korcula to Brac and the lunch the agro-tourism farm and the wine tasting were both excellent. Tomislav, who lead both tours was an excellent guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, had a good sense of humour and went out of his way to ensure we all had a great experience.

The itinerary was excellent starting and ending on the "big name" places of Kotor and Dubrovnik that everyone knows about, but in between we saw many facets of the Balkans and experienced wonderful scenery at almost every turn and learned a bit about the history of the area too. Most of us were however unaware that we spent over half the trip at 1000m+ in the mountains of Montenegro and Serbia and weren't quite as prepared as we might have been so a little more advice on that (especially for shoulder season itineraries) would have been of benefit. I'd also definitely recommend you spend a couple more days in Dubrovnik if you have the time as the walking tour was great but more time to properly explore is needed. Danielija our tour leader was excellent, thoughtul, helpful and great company. Her suggestions for dinner restaurants were always spot on and the guides she found for us were all first rate.

This was a well planned trip that introduced us to a number of key tourist destinations. Integrated into the itinerary were a range of unique experiences. The group was manageable and friendships were forged. The tour guide was knowledgeable and approachable and he went above and beyond expectations to ensure our trip was memorable.

Our tour guide Justin was so beneficial at making this tour unforgettable for myself and friends. Nothing was too much trouble and he went above and beyond to make everyone’s holiday the very best tour they had been on. His knowledge, communication skills, caring ways and his respectful attitude was amazing.
