Spain Bicycle Tour Reviews

Honest insights from past guests on our Bicycle Spain tours

Bikes pick up was excellent. Biclas and Triclas made sure we had bikes that fitted us and all necessary equipment was provided. Did not have any issues with them. Routes provided were spot on with no issues with navigation. Bear in mind that some parts of the route could not be traversed by bikes so some self made detours are required or bike pushing done. This added to the experience. Luggage transportation was flawless with only a minor delay in one leg due to us being too quick. Accommodations were very good with hot showers and comfortable beds. Only one hotel did not have adequate air conditioning but it was in an isolated country area and staff were fantastic in trying their best to make it better. Breakfasts could have started a little earlier for Camiño travelers as we tried to beat the hottest part of the day. Dinners were good and we never went to sleep hungry. Overall an excellent experience.

Fantastic organisation to ensure our trip went smoothly. Great communication and support for the trip. The navigation system was excellent and easy to follow. Our accommodation and food were fabulous. Great value for money and we thoroughly enjoyed the bike ride.

Miquel, the Spanish leader was excellent - he went above what was expected in meeting everyone's needs. He gave us an authentic local experience with Spanish food, including arranging a paella. Most days, after arriving in towns, he also arranged interesting excursions between 6 - 8 pm. There were some interesting museums & even an underground church, which were generally free. The area wasn't overly scenic, with one day being a highlight but a nice introduction to southern Spain. Be wary of some hotel showers as some were very slippery & dangerous.

This was a fabulous trip. The cycling was excellent with bikes that were perfect for the conditions, although heavier than I'm used to at home, We cycled on beautiful traffic free cycleways, small roads with virtually no traffic and bigger roads with very little traffic. We were in the mountains so inevitably there were hills but they were mainly short. The scenery was spectacular, as were the wildflowers. Our guide, Miguel, was excellent. This area is off the beaten track for tourists so unless you speak good Spanish you need Miguel! We ate really well as we mainly left the ordering of food to Miguel. Every meal was a delight of local food. The places that we stayed and those that we visited were all interesting so it felt as though we really made the most of a 6 day trip.

One of my favourite holidays. Great local food, our Explore Leader, never failed to find an excellent, family run restaurant, cafe or bar serving great, inexpensive local dishes. Safe, easy cycling on quiet roads or paths through beautiful farming countryside. Lovely accomodation in busy little towns, every evening started with a visit to a very interesting local museum. Highlights were the monastery, the sanctuary, the working waterwheels in the Ricote Valley and the group's last meal at Los Toneles in Murcia

Utilizing the Camino trail during wet, muddy and crowded trails was challenging. We were traveling during the Easter holiday which looking back was not a good decision. Would advise others to consider the time of year when traveling.
