A great introduction to Andalucia. Craig planned and led an amazing trip. Everything was well organised. The hotels were ideally located in Granada, Córdoba and Seville, but the highlight was our stay in Castaño del Robledo. I'd happily stay in any of them again. The tour was, as advertised, full on and I was pleased that we saw a lot in just 7 days. Craig told us so much about Andalucia and I really enjoyed this. So many highlights: amazing architecture, great food, walking in the hills around Castaño del Robledo, ideal trip companions and a superb trip leader.
A great trip. Uphill walks were a bit challenging at times but worth it for the views. Opened my eyes to how beautiful Mallorca is. An amazing week with a great guide and a lovely group of people. Would definitely recommend.
The Picos trekking is a fantastic experience. The walks are generally on the challenging side of moderate. It is full on. The scenery is absolutely spectacular. The hotel is a lovely typical Spanish family run hotel. Really welcoming and homely. The food is very good and the complimentary wine with dinner excellent. We had all 4 seasons in our week including snow down to the village on the Friday! The night in Potes was also fabulous. But it is Juan Jo the hotel owner, bus driver and guide who really makes the tour. He’s simply excellent in all respects. His wife Sonia, daughter Laura and son in law (chef) Gonzalo were all great. One of our party was taken ill on the first night and she asked to be taken to hospital on Sunday morning to get checked out. Gonzalo drove her an hour and a half to the nearest hospital. He then stayed with her for a few hours, helping out with the language and making sure she had everything she needed. He even sorted out her phone! She was diagnosed with pneumonia so a good job she went!! She ran short of a few bits later in the week and by this time had been transferred to the larger hospital in Oviedo. Juan Jo’s other daughter lives in Oviedo and went to see her and take the bits she needed. Service above and beyond. I highly recommend this tour if you like full on walks in stunning surroundings, coupled with good food and drink!!!
I had a wonderful "first guided tour" experience. The small group and program's rhythm of guided and independent discoveries worked perfectly for me. Our tour guide was amazing with her knowledge and hospitality and was supported by our very competent bus driver. I have lots of precious memories that I am now sharing with friends and family.
The locations visited were appropriate. The touring was good. The dining was excellent except for the last dinner in Madrid, that was just ok; we were late for dinner, which may have accounted, for the slow, inconsistent service. The delay occured because many of us couldn't get out of the stairwell in the last hotel in Madrid, where only 2 of the 3 elevators were working very slowly, missing floors. The hotels except for the last one in Madrid, were quite good. The Tour director Meaghan was superlative and driver was very good.
Wonderful experience. Elena was the best tour manager we have ever had in over 40 years of touring. Accommodations were very good and centrally located in Spain. The friendships developed we’re exceptional. I would recommend this your tour to everyone. The quality of the food was very good.
