Spain Tours in Winter

Gomera is a picturesque island for walkers and trekkers with challenging terrain. The island has an authentic Spanish vibe. The Torre del Conde hotel selected by Explore is in a perfect location. Rooms are updated and the breakfast has a variety of choices. The Explore guide, Ester, is an exceptional guide in terms of expertise and in keeping the group together with her warmth and sense of fun. Made the trip very enjoyable.

Once again I was lucky enough to have an outstanding tour leader in David. Especially lucky as he was also the leader for the Gran Canaria trip that I did the previous week! The landscape on La Gomera is less dramatic than Gran Canaria but the walks were excellent. One of the highlights was the Laurisilva cloud forest - complete with plenty of clouds (and rain!) but still a lovely walk. Another highlight was the optional walk to Valle Gran Rey with great views to the coast followed by a scenic ferry journey back to San Sebastian. Also the short but stunning walk on the El Teide plateau in Tenerife. The group of 16 was great company on the walks and at dinner in the evenings. Accommodation in La Gomera was clean and comfortable and well located. The hotel in Tenerife was an interesting contrast!

The Southern Spain trip was well-paced and included so many fun and interesting activities. I was surprised by how much I loved the afternoon in Cordoba, and I’d go back to Granada in a heartbeat. No doubt, my experiences were enhanced by the fantastic CEO we had, so organized and so fun. I want to do this trip all over again!

Tess has been absolutely amazing. She brought the vibes and has been sooooo helpful. My case never arrived until the evening of day 2 of the trip & Tess helped me so much getting me some clothes & toiletries so I didn’t miss out on any of the plans. I also became ill by the end of the trip and Tess was constantly checking in on me & making sure I had eaten. I would love to go on another trip with Tess as the tour guide. Going on a solo trip was really out of my comfort zone and Tess made it all so fun and I’ve had the best time ever.

I had the best trip with Tess as tour leader. Tess was organised, fun, supportive and kind. She had great connections around the resort so we felt so welcome and included everywhere. From apres to night skiing, black slopes to spa time, the trip was filled with lifelong memories. I met pals for life on this trip! When I was sick, Tess went to the pharmacy for me and got all my meds and checked in on me repeatedly through the night. She was like a sister and a friend - she has great hair, rocks the colour red and an infectious smile and I feel grateful to have had her lead the trip.

I do not know where to start or how to express quite how incredible this skiing experience was… I have done group trips and tours all over the world and this one has exceeded every expectation I could possibly have had! As a solo female traveller I never questioned my safety, not even once! I have made friends to last a lifetime and our guide Tess could literally start her own travel company, she’s the best guide I’ve EVER EVER EVER had (she has not asked me to say this!!!!) Love her or you will eventually lose her, give her an award, a raise, a promotion, a hug or some flowers PLEASE!! There was nothing we couldn’t ask of her, we felt so comfortable and included by her aura that we we are now firm friends and are already planning the reunion! As a group we have asked Tess to let us know what trips she is running in the future so that we can all book specifically with her, I don’t think there could be any higher praise than that! The community in Andorra thrives around Tess, every restaurant, bar, ski shop, hotel etc. that we walked into welcomed us with open arms and those relationships are a testament to Tess’ incredible personality and social skills! The food, accomodation, the girls, the safe, inclusive, fun atmosphere… The VIBES were just immaculate! I am already considering booking again next year, I have told all my friends how much I reccomend it (including those who can’t ski - there is something for everyone!!) and will shout about Tess, GalsWho and the Andorra Ski trip quite literally from the mountain tops! Thank you for all you do to give us such incredible experiences, I am forever grateful!
