Spain Tours in April 2027

Wonderful tour and great choices of places to see and experience. It is so nice to have a tour manager who cares and tries to accommodate everyone , while being so excited and positive about having us experience the culture and sites! We could never have planned a better tour or seen the many places in the limited time as this itinerary provided.

An exceptional small group tour experience. We had just 12 people in our group and it was easy going and relaxing, not having to plan anything or worry about driving with a lot of different experiences included, driving scenic country rods, carefully chosen boutique hotels in great locations and a balance of organised and down (your own) time. All facilitated by our excellent and knowledgeable tour guide, Andreas, who gave us a great overview of life in Europe, not just Spain and Portugal. My second Backroads tour. Highly recommended for people like us who don’t like tours 🙃😁!

It’s not really as easy as I expected. Lots of walking up and down streets. If someone took all the options, it would have been even harder! Leaving at 9 a few days was easier though.

Excellent trip, far exceeded my expectations - very friendly group of fellow hikers, tasty meals, very well thought out itinerary. The trip is extremely good value for money - 6 days of guided walks, excellent accommodation, all transportation, all meals included plus many extras - 4WD to the location to start the walk one day, one night hotel stay in Potes with excellent dinner, cable car, one lunch in a restaurant, a few cheese tasting sessions, etc. A big thank you to Juanjo and his family for running this amazing tour! I will certainly book more tours with Explore in the future.

This was a fantastic hiking tour, on the challenging end of moderate, I'd say you need a good level of fitness as an older (60+) person to enjoy it. The family run hotel was quiet and very comfortable, in a beautiful setting. The food was very good - plenty of variety on offer for breakfast, a decent packed lunch and hearty evening meals with wine. The guide, Juanjo, is a highly experienced native of the area, and shared lots of interesting local knowledge, I always felt safe with him in charge, even on the more demanding parts of the hikes. A perfect trip for those who want a bit of a challenge in beautiful landscapes, away from busy, noisy modern life. Overall I think it was an unforgettable experience and excellent value for money.

The scenery and the walks were spectacular and the group we found ourselves with were friendly and a lot of fun. The whole experience was made special by Juan Ho. who was our guide, driver, waiter and constant entertainer. He and his family made us feel really welcome and kept us fueled by a constant supply of food (and drink). I have seldom been on a holiday where I would certainly consider doing exactly the same holiday again but this would be one.
