Costa Rica Waterfalls Trips

My wife and I just returned from an amazing 11-day trip to Costa Rica. Yuliana helped us to put together a private tour designed specifically for us. No amount of time and effort would have let us do it ourselves. We were most interested in the landscape and animals, and our private driver was able to take us to fabulous sights. We stayed in unusual accommodations including a tree house in the jungle and a villa at the Arenal volcano. We had a wonderful first trip to Costa Rica thanks to Olman! He was extremely helpful in setting up just the right mix of adventure and relaxation. All of our accommodations, activities, and transportation were prearranged adding to the ease and enjoyment of this trip. Our trip included stops in San Jose, Manual Antonio, Monteverde, La Fortuna, Tamarindo, and Liberia. Activities included crocodile watching, ziplining, hanging bridges, canyoning, sunset catamaran sailing, tours to the Arenal and Tenorio volcanos, and a soothing soak at the hot springs. The people of Costa Rica are gracious and welcoming. We always felt right at home so we are already planning our return. Pura Vida!

Alejandro was the best guide anyone could ask for! His superior knowledge of the animals and the plants, the geology of the area, the climate and weather patterns and the general culture of Costa Rica helped us learn so much, while having a fun time. We got along so great with him and even miss him! Every hotel chosen for us was beyond beautiful and exceeded our expectations. We loved the La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Sarapiqui River tour! La Paz is beyond beautiful with orchids, hummingbirds, frogs, toucans, scarlet macaws, parrots, coatis, sloths, ocelots, margays, and a jaguar. The gardens and waterfalls are exquisite. A wonderful buffet lunch was included. Our trip down the Sarapiqui River in a covered boat was so much fun! We saw two caimans, iguanas, Anhingas, swallows, butterflies, and five troops of Mantled Howler monkeys. Oscar and Armando, our guide and driver were so kind and taught us so much. We stopped at a lovely coffee finca to see the beans ripening, a sopa (local restaurant) in the mountains to take in spectacular waterfall and hummingbird views, we watched whitewater rafters, and sampled fresh pineapple at a farmstand. Oscar and Armando treated us like family and made our first day in Costa Rica amazing!

Great trip run by professional tour operators. Our initial apprehensions about our first overseas trip post pandemic were put to rest by the excellent arrangements including day planning and lodging starting from receiving us at the airport. We felt at ease and relaxed throughout the trip. In short, the tour operator demonstrated how a professional tour needs to be operated.
