Our tour guide, Diego was extremely knowledgable and excellent in organising everything to run smoothly. Our driver, Christian, was also very good as he kept us safe with his driving on some difficult roads. The tour was excellent with lots of interesting wildlife, walking and cultural visits. My only complaint was the last hotel that we stayed in, which was next to a busy main road and several miles from the beautiful Pacific coast. Otherwise the rest of the accommodation was fine.

There were too many wonderful experiences and places to single out any one. The whole trip was incredible. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who is in good physical shape and adventurous. There was quite a bit of strenuous walking and some in our group struggled a bit.

This was the holiday of a lifetime. Explore have put together a fantastic itinerary balancing wildlife spotting and group activities with time for individual / optional excursions. Our guide Diego just made the trip, with his enthusiasm and amazing wildlife knowledge. He effortlessly dealt with any unscheduled changes out of his control and was very supportive and helpful with any group members who were a little ill. Nothing was too much trouble for him, he was always very approachable and had a great sense of humour. We saw so much wildlife, which had been the main focus of us booking this trip. The highlights were Tortuguero, Savegre Cloud Forest and Manuel Antonio. Also making wonderful memories from white water rafting to cooking traditional food with a local family. We also met amazing people along our way, from the very friendly locals to our travelling companions.

The main purpose of this trip was for my 17 year old grandson who has Autism. He took part in every activity and loved everyone of them from tubing in the rapids to swimming at the falls to zip lining, etc. He interacted with all of the kids and adults on the tour. Special thanks to Gracie and Mandi. I was limited in walking, but loved every minute of it.
