Costa Rica Tours in Fall

Two weeks in Costa Rica getting to explore the country's most beautiful and diverse sites was one of the most incredible adventures I have been on. The fact that all places are so unique and diverse from one another and getting to see incredible wildlife throughout the trip was fantastic.

Great all around trip. The guide (Jeff) was organized, attentive and fun to be around. Briefings each day were informative and useful. The food was excellent, camp sites were good. The rafting was very exhilarating. The equipment was in good condition and they were prepared for mishaps. We had bike chain break but they had spare bike readily available. You could push yourself as hard or as easy as you felt comfortable.

Our guide Oscar was brilliant. We all had such a wonderful family-focused wildlife adventure. The trip was pretty pacey and tiring but also great to pack so many highlights into a fortnight. Also, recommend going in low season (August) as although it is rainy season, we were lucky to see green turtles nesting on one coast and baby humpback whales on the other.

Oh my gosh! I had the absolute best time in Costa Rica. Our guide Juan Carlos had ALL the knowledge. We asked him everything, history, culture, plants, animals, birds, trees, weather and he had all the answers. My favorite thing was his sense of humor. He always made us laugh and feel welcome. The drivers were amazing too! Ronny was able to spot all the wildlife without any binoculars. Christian was super friendly and engaging as well. My favorite was watching the Green Sea turtles nesting. Such a magical experience. The whale watching was incredible. Whitewater rafting was a blast and lunch was really delicious on the shore. So many amazing memories and such warm and wonderful people. I highly recommend this trip to anyone and demand JC as your guide. Just absolutely the best.

My experience with Explore was the best I could ever have. From the beginning of the organisation till the last day of the trip it was excellent. It was my first trip with Explore, but it will definitely not my last one. The group was great, 10 people, 2 couples, 6 solo travellers. Our guide Juan Carlos was excellent, he gave us a feeling of being a family , he knows everything about animals, plants , Costa Rica. He was always there for all needs. Wonderful 'taste' of Costa Rica's wildlife and flora. Since it was 8 days, there was some travel time to get to each spot (as clearly written in the itinerary) and the guide and driver did a great job with wildlife spotting along the way. Personally, I would have preferred more time in Monteverde area and less by the beach, but that is how it was planned from the start. Went at the end of the rainy season, so there were some minor adjustments that the guide worked out ... so we did still see all the planned stops. Leisurely trip.
